*alex pov*

I went home only to find a note on the fridge from my mom telling me that she'd be back in a couple days. I guess I get the house all to myself. again.

I sat down on the couch watching the marathon of American Horror Story. why am I watching this alone. I won't wanna sleep for a week

I heard a knock on the door. before I opened it I remembered on the first season of ahs those psychopaths that tried to reenact the murder of the nurses and it all started out by the knocking on the door.

Standing on my front porch step was Spencer oh my god.

I immediately opened the door to see him crying.
"help me please Alex." he said collapsing on the floor.
"what's the matter!!!? oh my god Spencer what's wrong?" I said picking him up.
"my mom is gonna kill me." he said.
"she won't hurt you as long as I'm here to save you. I promise." I said walking him over to the couch.

Spencer layer is head in my lap trying to calm himself down without help.
"my dad texted me." he said with a slight hint of happiness.

dad- 'Spencer, please come home. I promise you everything is going to be alright.'

I saw Spencer raise up and start to gather his things.
"what are you doing Spence?" I said worried to death.
"I'm meeting my dad at Starbucks to talk things out with him." he said.

"please be careful." I said trying to hug him.
"come with me then." he said grabbing my hand.
I smiled brightly. "can you help me get my things?" I said.
Spence nodded his head.

I went up to my room and got my bag and threw a pair of jeans, a slipknot shirt, and money in the bag. I was ready to roll.

Spencer held my hand securely as we walked to Starbucks to meet his dad.

as we walked in I saw a man who was bald and wearing a black metal shirt with Abraham Lincoln on it who had an upside down cross on his face.

Spencer went and hugged him tightly. the man looked over at me and gave a small smirk that was "hello stranger that my child knows".
"dad this is Alex, Alex this is dad." Spencer said shyly.
"hello Alex." he said. I nodded as we all sat down at the table.

I listened as Spencer reviled his feelings to his dad about his mom. not to mention the whole being transgender thing.

"and dad, they are my date mate." Spencer said looking over at me and grinning.

"correct." I said smiling.

"welcome to the family Alex. it's a lot less complicated than it seems I swear." Spencer's dad said as he threw away his empty coffee cup.
