Chapter 6.

Nicole's Pov.

We sat there for a while, quietly enjoying each other's presence. Small chatters could be heard around us.

Out of nowhere my nyoni walks in the class and everyone goes quiet, he had a piece of paper in he's hand.

I pause my phone and Jaydan glances at me then removes the air pod in he's ear and looks at nyoni.

"Can the following people please stand up, when I call for their names", he said loudly, he didn't have to yell we aren't deaf and I could Jay was thinking the same thing.

"Lerato, Kamo, blaze, lesedi, Samantha, Amo, Jaydan and Thabo“he started listing the names and my eyes narrowed when I had Jay's name being called.

The whole class started to chatter wondering what was going on. I look at Jay and he look so confused.

"Please follow me to the office",nyoni says.

Jay and the others slowly stood up, following nyoni out the door. I was kinda sad because I was enjoying he's presence next to me, he had a warm body And he smelled good, so who wouldn't like sitting next to him.

I put on back on my left air pod, but suddenly realised I lost my right one, I look around my desk and even pick up my bag, but freeze when I remembered Jay has it.

Oh my god.

I sigh and just put on some music playing' stuck on you by givon', listening with one airpod, laying my head on my desk.

How wonder why they calling for Jay, did he get in trouble again? Mara why am I not surprised?

My eyes start to feel tired and I slowly fall asleep. Blocking out the noise around me.

"No Minni listen it's not like that", i say to Minni, who was showing me a picture of me and Jay close to each other.

"then what is it like? Cause this picture says a lot".

We were sitting on the cafeteria benches and while eating our lunch.

Elizabeth: "So In modiba's class, why did Mr nyoni want those people?" she said not partly interested.

Minni: "Yazi idk, but I feel like it's another fight, and that little disturbance ruined thando and Jaydan's time together".

As soon as I heard that, I blushed but obviously it didn't show.

"Noo, no ones time was ruined, what are you saying? But vele vele Jay ran away with my airpod, and I've been listening to sad songs all day with one airpod", I say kinda down cause idk if I will get it back or not.

The bell rings.

Elizabeth: "yoh finally after school, I wanna go home mina".

The rest of my friends go and I pop back on my air pod and plays something. I stand up, grabbing my bag, heading to the gate. Silently. Thinking about Jay for some reason.

I lean down against the wall waiting for my transport driver, today idk why but I just felt tired, even though we didn't necessarily do anything today. You can get tired from not doing anything.

I look around while vibing to the music, and spot lwandle talking to her friends, but there were only two so I I'm guessing the others went home.

15 minutes past.

"Nicole, let's go"

I hear lwandle say as I see her head to the gate.

Our transport was here.

I get into the car and quickly greet teacher busi. "Afternoon teacher busi"

"hello nana", she says back.

Lwandle also greets and we wait for the others to get into the car and I turn to lwandle and tell her about some crazy stuff that happened between me and Jay.

"wena imagine you say Jay infront of him by mistake" lwandle said laughing.

Yoh imagine I said that. I know Jay hates that nickname but it's sounds soo cute, I can't help it.

We talked and talked until they dropped me off, I take a look around and breath in the fresh air that woke me up a little. I remove my air pod and placed it in my case.

I hope he didn't lose the other one.

I get in the house and find it empty, my mom wasn't here so I was home alone.
