(y/ns POV)

I have just sat down on my bed when Teresa starts talking.

"Newt said something to you! Y/n that's awesome! We're making progress."

"We shouldn't have to make progress Teresa, either he likes me or he doesn't."

The door in the room next to ours slams shut.

"Newt must be angry," Teresa says.

"Should we do something?" I ask.

"He's probably fine, if he wants to talk he'll talk to Thomas. Back to our conversation."

"What?" I ask ignoring that she obviously wants to talk about what happened.

"You heard what he said to you right? 'As long as you aren't dating that shank.' Like he was jealous!"

"Teresa come on, you're overanalyzing everything he says. He doesn't even like me," I reply remembering when we left dinner. "Newt didn't even say good night when we left. He wouldn't even look at me, as usual."

"Come on Newt loves you and you love him! Just admit it," Teresa begs me. I just shake my head. "Y/n loves Newt!" Teresa screams. "And Newt loves y/n!"

"Teresa! He's right next door, he can hear us!" I say, but she won't stop. To shut her up I start to scream, quieting her down. Suddenly, we hear banging on the door.

"Is everything alright in there?" It's Newt.

"You can come in," Teresa tells him.

He steps in, without a shirt on. "What happened?" he asks.

Before Teresa can say anything I lie, "everything's fine, i just got scared by something Teresa said."

"Scared of your feelings," Teresa mutters, thankfully Newt doesn't seem to notice.

"Sorry I heard you scream and got worried," he looks down.

"Thanks," I reply.

"Good night," Newt says leaving.

"Good night," we both reply.
