                        *the letter*

Dear Sasuke,

I hope this letter finds you safe, wherever your journey has taken you. Things here are as lively as ever, especially with our two daughters.

Sarada is growing into such a determined young woman. She’s always so focused, just like you, and it’s heartwarming to see her dedication to becoming a strong shinobi. She reminds me of you when she’s training—serious, driven, and sometimes a little too hard on herself. She’s even started lecturing me about being more organized, can you imagine?

But Sayuri… oh, Sasuke, she’s a mirror of your younger self. She has this quiet intensity about her, that same sharp gaze that feels like she can see through everything. She doesn’t talk much, but when she does, her words carry so much weight. She has your stubbornness too—just yesterday, she refused to stop practicing until she perfected a jutsu she saw Sarada use. It’s fascinating (and sometimes a little exasperating) to watch how much she resembles you, not just in looks but in spirit.

I catch myself smiling at how they both carry parts of you.

Stay safe, and come home soon. I want us to share these little moments together.

With love,
Sakura

Sayuri's POV

The soft rays of the morning sun crept through the curtains, casting a warm glow across my bed. The comforting weight of the blankets surrounded me, and for a moment, I toyed with the idea of staying buried beneath them. The thought of getting up felt overwhelming, especially with how cozy everything was.

Just as I was about to drift back into sleep, the door burst open with a loud bang.

"Sayuri! Get up!" Sarada’s sharp, demanding voice pierced the peaceful quiet of the room—typical of her.

I groaned, pulling the covers tighter around me, hoping to block her out. She could be so annoying sometimes.

"I'm fine in bed, thanks," I mumbled, my voice muffled by the blankets and heavy with drowsiness.
