Ch 4

That was really weird

Mrs ball showed me up to my new room,
It was plain but I guess I'll have to decorate it later it had a small desk, a cupboard, a double bed, two little bed side tables and a window of course.
There we school books on my desk and the cupboard had my school uniform in it.

"Alex, Connor, Lewie come down stairs please"
Mrs ball shouted from the kitchen. It must have been dinner time. I guess it's time to meet the boys I hope their nice.
"Alex this is Connor and Lewie" mrs ball introduced "i know mum we've me" but before Connor could finish his sentence mr ball interrupted him. And introduced his self, he sounded mad or angry at Connor. " Connor go to the living room please " mrs ball said with a bit of an attitude - angry attitude that was.

CONNOR POV.
"What mum?!"i questioned, I was not happy
"What do you think you're doing she doesn't know nor will she know for a while! Do you understand that if she finds out we know something she doesn't want us to, do you think she'll be happy?" And with that mum left the room.
I don't under stand why can't we tell her? I don't understand ??
"Hurry up Connor dinners on the table"

ALEXS POV

At dinner no one said grace it was a bit awkward actually everyone ate really fast and didn't talk at all.

After dinner I decided to help clean up, I felt bad that mrs ball had to clean up the dishes by her self. At the orphanage everyone (that was able to) did there own dishes that way the sisters did not have to do everything and we could learn 'manners' and discipline.

After dinner cleanup mr and mrs ball both came up to me and told me to sit down. Were they finally going to tell me what's going on or...
"Alex" mrs ball spoke "we bought you something, Connor and Lewie both wanted one so we got it for you - don't tell them" she laughed - I suppose not - it was wrapped " happy early birthday" they both said in sync.
It was a wrapped in red paper and had a purple ribbon, it was small and a tad heavy.
I have this pet hate of ripping paper and making the paper look messy so I took my time. Not realising I had a little crowed behind me both Connor and Lewie were standing behind me looking at what I had got
Which in fact was an iPhone6 - that sounds so weird say that ' I own an iPhone 6 '

I was so happy I opened it and I was gold ( how'd they knowin liked gold?)

"Do you like it?" Mr ball asked
"Thank you so much this the nicest thing I've ever gotten" I smiled because it actually was the present we got at the orphanage was a family size of chocolate even then we had to share with you room mates / floor mates

That night Connor help me set up the phone and get social media like Twitter, Facebook or facey as he calls it and Instagram - geez there's a lot of media that I've never heard of. I feel like I've been living under a rock for the last 7 years. I mean I knew about Facebook because my father had it but still not 'Twitter' or 'Instagram'

After the'phone set up ' I spent an hour or two figuring out things like did you know that if you double clip on the caps button it stays in caps or you can change Sirius voice form a man to a woman or you could have different time time zones on your phone - I don't even know what that is but anyway

Next door was the parents room I could hear the balls talking but only small talk they said things like;
'are we doing the right thing?'
'Should we tell them?'
And one word stuck with me FAMILY.
