"Here wo go," the hedgehog smirked, taking a running start stance.

"Showtime!"

The lights turned on, illuminating the chao mascots on stage as they danced around. The sign above read 'Chao Garden' as music played and kids ran by. Team Sonic sat at a nearby, watching with confused but intrigued faces.

"I...am honestly confused. But they're so cute?" Y/n mumbled, watching the chao on stage dance around before Knuckles snapped them out of their thoughts.

"What is this den of madness?" The echidna questioned as a group of kids approached the Mobians, speaking to Tails.

"Are you Detective Pikachu?" A girl asked curiously.

Y/n snickered, trying not to burst into laughter because of the deadpanned look on their fox friend's face.

The question caused Knuckles to erupt into laughter. "He does look like a Pokémon!" He exclaimed, pointing to Tails, whose glare shifted from the snickering a/t to Knuckles. "Pika, pika" He mimicked.

Suddenly, the power throughout the location went out, badniks activating outside the windows. The group was quick on alert.

"Konichiwhaaaaat?" Sonic questioned.

The badniks activated some missiles, shooting them at the team's table.

"Get down!" Y/n shouted, the group diving out of the way.

Soldiers shouted, rain pouring down on the streets of the city. Surrounded by all the militia was Shadow the Hedgehog. The soldiers raised their weapons, ready to face the Ultimate Life Form.

Gerald Robonik approached a wall depicting the Space Colony ARK and Eclipse Canon. "It's time, Shadow..."

Shadow's eyes glowed red, his power surging as a bolt of lightning hit the city, causing a blackout.

"Finally, we will have our revenge," Shadow stated. He ran across the sea away from the facility, a look of determination on his face.

"But what good is a dastardly plot," Gerald began as he talked to his grandson. Team Sonic was chained up to a pole, Sonic waking up. "If you can't conspire with family?"

The hedgehog's vision was hazy, but when it cleared, he could see Gerald and Robotnik approaching. "There's two Eggmen now?!"

"Double your villains, double your fun," Eggman smirked, pointing at the hedgehog.

Y/n woke up beside Sonic, eyes widening to see their situation and the enemies that surrounded them. "You've gotta be kidding me."

Shadow appeared on a platform above the group. "Any last words?" He asked as he dropped a small spherical device that sparked. Eggman chuckled off to the side.

"Uh, nice magic marble. Real scary," Sonic remarked.

"What's it gonna do? Run us over?" Y/n added to the banter, Sonic snickering beside them.

The device surged with energy, creating something similar to a black hole as it began to pull in anything around it, including the chained-up group. Y/n's expression dropped, realizing the device was worse than they'd thought.
