They sat in an office signing more papers in the office, patience smiled happily at König as they nodded together. They left out a deep exhale understanding the weight of the situation in getting back in it. König knew he had to work harder to keep patience safe, what better place to do so back where she started.
Patience hugged Lois tightly, laughing and smiling with her best friend. Welcome back Patience and König, I'm glad you can come back, we missed you. The past members of Kortac all have been disbanded for their unacceptable actions, our crew have assigned new recruits for you both to train and look after. I'll never doubt your abilities to make them into respectable soldiers. Best of wishes, she said saluting them and walking off.
Letting out another exhale but calmer they smiled happily. They rented their home they owned back in the city for a side income. The couple greeted the new tenants with welcome smiles and ground rules, giving them the keys and numbers for the information of the house's maintenance. König drove back to the base with patience beside him, and they greeted their new soldiers.

After all of the formalities, the men were dismissed for the night with promises of succeeding. Why did they join the army? They missed the hustle, the grind, the challenge, they weren't yet ready for a settled retired life, they missed the thriller.
Patience looked at the Kortac Colonel she loved so much, watching him undress for bed. She stared at him with deep adorance, her heart beeping a melodic tune that's music to his ears as it pumps blood into the person he couldn't live the rest of his life without.
The world wouldn't be theirs without each other, they wouldn't dare live a day happy alone.

A month went by, they paid the mortgage with the monthly rent from their tenants back in the property they own, putting whatever is left over in the settings. König was called back into the city to fix the leaking sink, patience joined in his journey, him insisting she did so from their mutual clinginess. König finished fixing the issue, checked the house's plumbing and laundry room system, and fixed it perfectly. The son of the tenants asked him to fix his toy car, it was fixed with no problem, he even managed to add some cool adjustments like light up headlights, open and closing car doors and a little person to go in and out of the car. The kid was happy and thanked him with a wide smile. To prevent the kid from drawing on the walls, König made sure to install white boards on the room walls and a chalkboard, reminding the kids of what they are for.
The couple headed back to the base, they sent the men on their first training mission, the group was strong enough to pull through, all making it to the end. Lois picked a good bunch of you munchkins, König told the group as he walked back and forth along the line of men who stood proudly for him. We're all family, no need to feel shy to talk, tell me what you think, he said with a smile under his sniper hood. We've heard so many good things from Lois and other soldiers from different places sir, one spoke up in a serious tone. Patience laid in bed reading a book waiting for König to return for the night. Hey, he greeted her, she set her book down with a smile. I missed you already, it's been too long, she pouted at their temporary separation even though it was less than 6 hours.
I miss being next to you baby, she cooed pulling the blankets aside for him. He undressed and laid down in bed with her, meeting her lips with a warm kiss to express how much he missed her dearly too. She pulled him close, deepening the kiss, she pulled away, licking her lips, he licked her lips too wanting a taste, she did the same back, he laughed and did it again, they kissed with heavy tongue. You're so sweet König, she said in between their heavy smooches.

Their lips continuously connected, slower and slower by the minute, they pulled away one final time for the night.
They got comfortable to head to sleep, sleeping next to each other, like they were meant to.
