Two days later, Amal’s health had improved, but she hadn’t gone to college during this time.
She spent her time at home, mostly sitting with her grandmother, talking and sharing stories.

That afternoon, Amal was seated beside her grandmother, who suddenly remarked,
“Amal, my dear, Zain is such a nice boy.”

Surprised by the sudden comment, Amal looked at her grandmother and asked,
“Why do you think so, Grandma?”

Her grandmother replied with a knowing smile,
“He took such good care of you when you were unwell. If it had been anyone else, they wouldn’t have gone to such lengths. It’s rare to see someone care so selflessly.”

Amal simply nodded and said,
“Hmm,” unsure of what to say.

Just then, Amal’s phone rang.
She excused herself, saying, “Grandma, I’ll be back in a moment.”

She went to her room to answer the call, but before picking it up, she muttered to herself,
“Oh no, I forgot to call Sam! He must be so mad at me.”

She sighed, mentally preparing herself for the conversation, and finally picked up the phone.

The moment Amal answered, Sam’s voice came through, full of worry.
“Amal! Are you okay? You haven’t been to college for two days, and you didn’t even call me! I’ve been trying to reach you so many times, but you didn’t pick up. Is everything alright?”

Amal tried to calm him down.
“Sam, relax. I’m fine. I’ll explain everything. My phone wasn’t charged these past two days, and honestly, I’ve just been feeling really tired."

Sam wasn’t satisfied.
“Amal, I can’t just sit here and worry. I need to see you right now. Can we meet?”

Amal hesitated for a moment but knew how concerned he must be.
She didn’t want to upset him further, so she agreed.
“Alright, let’s meet.”

Later that evening, Sam waited for Amal at a cozy café near their college.
He was sitting near the window, anxiously looking at the door.

When Amal walked in, his face lit up with relief.
He stood up immediately and, without a word, hugged her tightly.

Amal hugged him back, understanding how much he had been worried about her.

They both sat down, and Sam quickly called the waiter to place an order.
After a moment of silence, Sam finally spoke, his tone serious.
“Amal, what’s going on? What’s all this about?”

Amal looked at him, confused.
“What do you mean?”

Sam leaned forward, his frustration evident.
"I mean Zain. What's his deal? What does he want? Who does he think he is? He's just some arrogant guy who came back from America and now thinks he's a hero!"

Amal sighed, trying to calm him down.
“Sam, just let it go. There's nothing to be upset about.”

But Sam wasn't ready to drop it.
“Let it go? How can I? How dare he take you away like that? Amal, you're mine. No one else has the right to interfere in your life, and if he dares to even look at you in the wrong way, I won't let him get away with it!”

Amal placed a hand on Sam's arm, her voice soft but firm.
“Sam, please stop. Nothing like that happened. You’re just overthinking this. Don't ruin your mood over something so silly.”

Sam finally sighed, realizing he was letting his emotions get the better of him.
The tension eased as they began to eat the food that had arrived.

They talked about other things—college, shared memories, and little moments from the past few days.
Slowly, the conversation became lighter, and the evening felt more relaxed.
