As Zain tightly holds Amal’s trembling hand, they approach the Qazi and take their seats.

Amal's face is pale, her eyes red from crying, but she remains silent, her heart pounding in her chest.

Zain, calm yet exuding authority, fixes his intense gaze on the Qazi.

The Qazi begins reciting the Nikah sermon, his voice steady, though the tension in the room is palpable.

Once the initial rituals are completed, he pauses and looks directly at Zain.

“Zain Sahab, haq mehar kya rakhna chahte hain?”

Zain smirks, leaning back slightly in his chair, exuding an air of complete control.

His deep voice cuts through the silence.

"Haq mehar? Amal ke liye meri sari zindagi ka har faisla uske haath mein rakh do."

The Qazi looks startled, but before he can react, Zain continues, his tone turning sharper.

"Aur agar haq mehar ka asli matlab samajhna chahte ho, to meri jaan rakh do. Koi aur cheez meri taraf se us ladki ke liye kaafi nahi ho sakti."

Amal, wide-eyed and stunned, glances at Zain.

Her lips part as if to protest, but she finds herself frozen.

Zain leans forward now, locking eyes with the Qazi.

His voice softens, yet each word is filled with meaning.

"Meri zindagi ka har saal, har lamha, sirf Amal ke naam kar do.

Aur agar kabhi meri saansein uski marzi ke khilaf chalne lagein, to wo haq mehar ka haq rakhte hue unhe rok sakti hai."

Amal’s heart races, her mind unable to process the weight of his words.

The Qazi, clearly taken aback, stammers briefly before nodding.

Zain turns to Amal now, his voice lowering to a near whisper, but still carrying the strength of his intentions.

"Tumhara haq, Amal, meri poori duniya hai.

Aur haq mehar mein duniya se zyada diya ja sakta hai to wo meri jaan hai, jo ab tumhare naam likh di."

The Qazi, understanding Zain's heartfelt emotions, responded calmly.

"Mr. Zain, your words reflect a truly noble heart, but as per the laws of Sharia, it is essential to declare a specific amount for mehr."

"If we speak of an amount, Amal undoubtedly deserves a grand mehr.

She is worth much more.

However, for now, I can only offer this ring as her mehr," Zain said, his voice steady but earnest.

"And what is the value of this ring?" the Qazi asked.

After a brief pause, he answered solemnly.

"Two crores."

The number hung in the air, leaving Amal stunned.

Her eyes widened, disbelief flickering across her face.

Two crores?

The weight of his declaration was as overwhelming as the gesture itself, her heart thundering in response to the enormity of his offering.

The room falls silent, and Amal’s vision blurs with tears.

She struggles to discern whether Zain’s words are genuine or another layer of his complex game.
