Meeting someone new (Edited)

I'm getting ready to leave to go to Cindy's house, but I have to get changed first. I'm going to wear a pair of black pants I made yesterday with a cream color blouse-like a shirt with a black vest. I put some sox's on before I put my combat boots on. I love these boots.

I brush my hair since I've already brushed my teeth this morning. I haven't seen Cindy since last week. Her mother sent her to her grandmother place for a week so today she comes back that's why I'm going over to see her. Cindy has brown eyes and chocolate brown hair with light olive skin color I guess. I don't pay attention to people's skin color. It's really wrong to judge someone by their race.

I make my way down the stairs to find my mother making herb tea. I'm guessing she's having a guest come over. "I'm leaving now I'll see you later today." I say walking to the door. "Wait I have something for you for an early birthday present." She says picking up a rectangle box shape that is wrapped. I walk over to her to grab the present. "But my birthday isn't till tomorrow so why not give it to me tomorrow?" I ask her as I cross my arms looking at her.

"I wanted you to have it early I was planning to give you it a few days ago but I wanted to wait to see if you're ready for it. And you showed me that yesterday when I saw you kick the trainer's ass hard through the camera he step-up. The video was funny watching him get hurt. So, what I'm saying is I want you to have this one present now." She explains in her ramble of trying to can up with a way of giving me the present now.

"Okay, I'll open it now." I tell her as I take the present from her. I kind of really want to know what it is. I unwrap the box to open the box to find a nice black dagger a waist holder and two small daggers that strap onto my outer thigh. "I love them." I say giving her a hug. I put them on to find that they fit perfectly like they were made for me.

"I'm heading out now. Thanks for the present." I say walking out the front door. I'm on my Cindy's house when I see a royal guard walking my way. "Hello miss, do you have your licenses to carry those?" He asks me as he points to my daggers. Oh, shit I forgot that you need licenses to carry daggers.

I check my pockets to act like I'm looking for my licenses. "I can't seem to find it." I tell him trying to come up with a lie. "Them I'm going to have to take you in if you don't have your licenses." He tells me looking very annoyed with my answer. "Let me check my pockets again." I tell him as I reach into my back pocket to find a little black book. I look into the book to find licenses with my name on it.

License to Carry Daggers

License for: Carrying daggers for protection.

Damn did not see having this in my pocket. I show the guard my license for my daggers. If you had seen his face you would've died laughing. He looked like he was about to shit himself. "I'm sorry for pulling you to the side Ms. Hunt. Have a nice day." He says handing me back the license and walking away. I look into the black book some more to find an ID for me a real one too. It has all my information on it that I need. I can drive now when I have a car. This must be part of the birthday present she got me.

I make my way to Cindy's house to find that someone is there talking to Cindy. She doesn't look so happy right now.

I see that the person she is arguing isn't too happy either. I sneak up on him and her to find out that he is a runaway that needs a place to stay but her mother will freak if she lets him stay at the house. I walk up to the both acting like I didn't hear anything they are talking about.

"Hey Cindy," I say with a smile trying act normal. "Oh, hey Selene," She says tensing up a lot like the man standing next to her. "Am I cutting into something important because I can leave if you want?" I say looking between the both crossing my arms. "No, you can stay I'm just dealing with a problem that's all. It should be gone soon." She tells me trying to give me a small smile.

"Then who are there?" I ask her to get more of a good look at him. But when you look into his eyes it's almost like you can see what he has been through or what he has seen from the life he had. He has the same hair and facial features almost as me but not same eyes his are blue with purple rims. He is built but not too much and taller than Cindy and me. I look at him like I need to help figure out what his problem is and what he needs help with. Like I want to help him.

"Kevin, meet my best friend Selene. Selene, meet my friend Kevin." She says to the both of us. We shake hands but when our hand's touch I feel like I'm connected to him in a way. I can't figure it out. I keep to myself but look up to see he felt the feeling too. "Well to what I heard walking up you need a place to stay. I may have a place you could, but I need to know what you're getting into first because It seems worse when the Royal guards are more out then before so I'm either guessing you are a convict or someone really important to them because they are searching for someone who has your description. So, what the hell have you gotten yourself in?" I firmly ask him as I grab his wrist to see an off there is a royal mark.

"So, you're a royal why are you hiding from the guard?" I ask him letting his wrist trying my best not to slap him. "I'm looking for my sister but only to find out that she is my twin that we are almost identical. I need to find her my parents are always depressed but don't show it. I know it's slowly killing them knowing that their other kid that was taken at a young age may or may not be out in this world. So, I decided to look on for her myself, but my parents sent the guards to bring me back to the castle." He tells us crying like a big baby.

"Alright, I will see if my mother can let you stay in the hidden room connected to mine but no promises." I tell him looking over at Cindy to see her looking at me really weird. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask her to make sure nothing was on my face.

"Well you kind of look like you were glowing, and humans don't glow we all know that. I think your mother is lying to you about something." She explains to me putting her hands on her hips.

I nod my head at her to show that I understand what she is saying. I explained everything to her about what I heard what my mother was saying. She almost flipped out that I may be supernatural and that my mother didn't tell me at all. And that she was putting the potion stuff in my food that I was eating basically focusing me to eat it since she put it in the food she made me.

I just told her not to worry about it because I'm not eating anything she makes me. She went crazy about my daggers I have that I got. She has daggers and a sword and a Samsung Galaxy 5 phone. Plus, she's a witch too from her parents.

We hung out until it was time for me to get home. I had to take Kevin with me to. The walk home was awkward and quiet. He did something with his eye color to change it to a dark blue.

We get to my house to find my mother sitting at the table drinking tea. "Mom, my friend needs a place to sleep for the night is it okay if he stays tonight, please mom?" I ask her knowing that she didn't have enough time to waste since she has someone coming over. I give her the puppy eyes which works almost every time.

"Fine but he sleeps on a hidden room in your room. Now go the person will be here soon" She tells me as she rushes us up the steps to my room. I have a feeling he won't try anything in my gut.

We get to my room to once we are in the room I double lock it. He looks almost horrible that I locked the door. "The door has to be a double lock to make sure that the room is safe. It has a magic spell on it to keep anyone from founding me in here since I'm human I think. I don't know anymore." I say walking over to my bed sitting down.

"Well did you ever ask her about why your human," He asks me as he sits down next to me. "Yes, I've tried but she's blocked me out or just tells me to go to my room or something. The last time I ask she snapped saying she never wants me to bring it up again." I tell him taking my daggers off sitting them on my stand. He nods his head understanding that I don't want to talk about it anymore.

"You can sleep in the window bed tonight there is already a blanket and pillow to sleep with there. The bathroom is on right there." I say walking to the bathroom to change into my basketball shorts and a tank top. I walk over to him giving him a shirt and some basketball shorts to change into.

I lay back in bed to get comfortable. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday I'm happy that I'm going to be an adult. I see Kevin walk out of the bathroom over to the window bed. "Night Kevin," I say to him pulling the cover up to me. I hear him mumble a good night but I was already falling asleep, so I turn the light out. My pillow is so soft and comfortable. I soon fall asleep.
