After weeks of hard work and intense practice, the cast of "Twilight Serenade" had finally reached the eve of their performance. Smirnov-san gathered everyone around for a few final words.

"Good job, everyone. I am so honored and thankful for your hard work and time," Smirnov-san said, his voice filled with pride. "And of course, to our two main leads who dedicated their time and efforts to make this perfect."

Ayami and Tetsuya smiled and bowed as the cast clapped and cheered for them.

"So, good luck to everyone for tomorrow night's show. Have a good rest and take care," Smirnov-san concluded.

The cast bowed to him and began packing their things. As Ayami gathered her belongings, Tetsuya approached her.

"Hey, can you drop me off?" Tetsuya asked.

"Sure," Ayami replied with a smile.

The driver bowed to both of them as they approached the car. Once inside, Ayami gave instructions, "Please, let's drop Tetsuya off first, then me."

The driver nodded and pressed a button to close the window between the front and back seats, ensuring their privacy.

Ayami let out a sigh as she settled into the car seat. "I wish I could smoke."

"I have a lollipop," Tetsuya offered with a grin.

He unwrapped the lollipop and handed it to Ayami. She accepted it with a half-hearted smile, leaning her head back against the seat.

"I'm so tired," Ayami muttered.

"Me too. Good thing Smirnov-san is a good person," Tetsuya replied sympathetically.

Ayami nodded in agreement. In the world of ballet, where there were often stories of creepy, abusive, and perverted teachers, Smirnov-san stood out as a beacon of decency and respect.

"By the way, I have a ticket for a rock band next Saturday. Wanna come?" Tetsuya asked.

"What band?" Ayami replied, gazing out the window.

"Black Stone," Tetsuya answered.

"You mean the Cigarette Black Stone?" Ayami clarified.

Tetsuya nodded. "Yeah, that's the one."

"Never heard of them, I knew them, but you know me," Ayami admitted.

"You're crazy, biggest band ever," Tetsuya continued.

"Bigger than Trapnest?" Ayami asked.

Tetsuya thought for a moment. "I have a CD and VHS recording. I'll give it to you tomorrow. Listen to them—they're talented. Just trust me."

Ayami nodded, and they soon dropped Tetsuya off at his home. Ayami then headed to her own apartment, feeling the weight of exhaustion. She took a bath, following her nightly routine, and fell asleep almost immediately.

The next morning, Ayami woke up early. Although there was no practice scheduled, she had a lot to do to prepare for the performance. She needed to warm up, wash her body, get a facial treatment, and take care of her nails and hair, as well as her makeup.

First, she did some warm-up stretches, feeling her muscles loosen and wake up. Afterward, she took a thorough body wash, enjoying the refreshing sensation. Then, she went to the salon for a facial treatment and to get her nails done.
