Chapter 3: Childhood Besties
Luis?...
Bakit siya nandito? Hindi ba't nasa America siya? Bakit... bakit ganto nararamdaman ko?
Luis is my childhood bestfriend since we we're kids, he's father is a friend of my father. When i was 11 Luis's father decided to make him study at America. I'm surprised, why is he here?
Does he recognizes me?
"Ms. Alejandro, please take a sit next to Mr. Aquino." Sabi ni ma'am.
Wait, Aquino? I looked at the guy who was sitting near the window.
Rionardo Miguel Aquino!
Grabe, kaklase ko siya? No way! Wala akong magawa kundi tumabi sakanya.
Pumunta ako sa upuan ko- namin pala, at umupo sa tabi niya. I can feel myself getting awkward. Bakit ba lahat ng kaklase ko nakatingin sakin? May problema ba sa mukha ko?
Suddenly, Mrs. Fernandez clapped grabbing all of the students attention.
"Okay class, we'll start to vote for our class officers. Please raise your hand if you want to nominate your classmate. No voting yourself." Sabi ni ma'am.
Wala akong balak mag nominate ng mga kaklase ko, ni hindi ko nga sila kilala. Sino ba sila?
"Okay, for our class president. Who wants to nominate?"
Maraming tumaas ng kamay. "Yes, Mr. Dela Cruz?"
"I nominate for Aerian."
Ae... Aerian... AKO? ha, ba't ako? Nagulat nalang ako, bakit ako?
Tiningnan ko nang masama yung lalaking nag nominate sakin. Kapal! ayaw kong utos-utusan!
"okay, Aerian..." Sinulat ni ma'am yung pangalan ko sa whiteboard. "who else?"
Wala na nag taas ng kamay. "No one?"
Jusko lord! ako na ba magiging president dito? Mga kupal! Hindi niyo naman ako kilala e!
Then, one girl raises her hand, which made me sigh in relief.
"I nominate for Luis to be a class president."
Luis?.. Hayst, hearing his name really makes me feel something i couldn't understand.
"Okay for Luis... Is there anyone else?" Wala na nagtaas ng kamay.
"Okay, Luis and Aerian, please stand infront."
Bibirahin ko kayong lahat pag binoto niyo ako.
Tumayo ako sa harapan, at tinitingnan pa rin ng masama yung lalaking bumoto sakin.
"who wants to vote for Aerian?" Tanong ni ma'am.
Gusto ko nalang sampalin yung sarili ko nang nakita ko na maraming tumaas ng kamay.
"okay... 25 votes for Aerian." Help! Bakit ako? Ang daming bumoto! nakakairita!
humanda kayong lahat sakin.
"who wants to vote for Luis?" Tanong naman ni ma'am.
Marami din namang bumoto kay Luis pero di ko alam kung mas mataas pa ito sa'kin.
Sana ikaw na maging president, Luis.
"20 votes for Luis. Aerian becomes the President!"
Punyeta! bibirahin ko talaga kayo noh?
Nagsi-palakpakan silang lahat. Mga kupal!
