New Update! Hope you enjoy!
Everything around me was buzzing, my mind blank, my hair tingling from the roots and eyes wide open to the two Dark Elves in front of me. My feelings and emotions crackling through the barriers of self-control. I don't know whether to cry, laugh or run away. I look at Ergon, his features now a grey-blue, eyes dark black and his teeth... pearly white and sharp. Everything he was before, bright, tanned and sunny, now washed away.
"Let me get this straight, all this time you have been pretending to be Light Elves all because you're looking for a princess?" Talliah and Ergon nod their head and come to their feet. They sit in the two lounge chairs on either side of me.
"Yes, and that princess is sitting next to us in this very room." Talliah says, excitement in her tone. I shake my head at the two, standing to leave. This is nonsense. My father is the King of Light. There is no way, I am not anything but a Light Elf. Yes... I may have odd features, but I look like my father!
"Please don't leave, Princess. Let us explain?" Ergon said cooly, he now had a cup of tea in hand, sitting back in the lounge chair.
"I'm not who you say I am." I reply, facing the two. Their appearances throwing me off. Almost quite like mine. No, this is bonkers.
"Sit, have tea and let's talk." Before I knew it, my feet were dragging me to the lounge and a hot cup of black tea was pour magically in front of me.
Talliah was munching away at the cookies that were served, eyes closed in delight. They were relaxed, unserious. How can I take them seriously when they are acting like this happens every day.
Shaking my head, I life the cup of tea carefully and take a sip, the strong taste of tea leaves coating my taste buds.
"So, Princess let me start at the beginning." Ergon says, placing his cup down and facing me. His eyes darken and suddenly I am pulled into his mind.
"Don't panic, I am just pulling you into the depths of my memory." His voice echoes and my body buzzes as the world around me moves at a rapid pace. I'm not sitting in the lounge chair anymore, but standing in a destroyed palace, people circling something. Someone.
I move closer; however, no one notices. Taking in my appearance, I seem to be invisible. Ergons power is amazing. Whispering and crying came from the circle of people. Dark Elves. Moving closer I look and there are a man and woman, holding onto a baby wrapped in black and white cloth. Dark spiralling shadows and mist were circling around the destroyed palace, haunting and whispering unearthly words at the people down below. What is this?
"This is the start of the curse amongst our people. Killing us slowly, one by one."
"How did the curse start?" I ask softly, my heart bleeding for this family. A young black-haired boy ran in the room crying, screaming mummy and daddy. The two cuddle the boy, whispering soft sweet words.
"Your birth started the curse."
My ears started to ring as the words slipped from his mouth, bouncing off my skull over and over.
"It is not your fault. Your parents King Dyson and Queen Penelope displeased a very ancient Dragon and the price for forgiveness was their daughter. You. However, this day we are looking at, is his collection of you."
The mist and shadows got darker, angrier the more the King and Queen wept, holding tightly onto the baby. The circle of people around them started to collapse, their skin greying and their pulses slowing. What is happening to them?
"The curse is poisoning them. The more they hold off giving you the Dragon, the more this curse kills everyone."
Suddenly the King and Queen look at each other and a figure walk into the room. His face covered by a black hood; his body covered in blades. The King whispered something to the man and handed over the baby. There was a sudden roar and the shadows started taking a form of large ugly beasts. The man suddenly disappears in thin air, the image in front of me changing and I'm now watching the man run through the dark forest with the baby in his arms. His body is shimmering with green, as it holds a protective field around him. Slick as a ninja.
