Jarrod's disappearance went unnoticed for many weeks, it wasn't until the big exam that people began too seek him out. Some needed answers so badly they informed the police of his disappearance, all they were able to locate was a middle eastern boy named Jaleel.
Although many were upset that Jarrod could not be located, they simply moved on to the next smartest mind, Jack. Jarrod's disappearance didn't bother Jack one bit, as he now assumed the role of the smartest.
Jaleel's discovery proved to be a blessing in disguise however, as it was found that his father as planning an attack on Sydney tower. This was Jarrod's final act of brilliance, as if it wasn't for his death; a whole country would be mourning, and a whole tower of people dead.
