Chapter 1 - Parting with parents

Sera's POV

"SERA WAKE UP IT'S ALMOST 10 AND YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SHOWERED YET"

my mom yelled from downstairs. I wake up and my dad just entered my room. "Your mother told me to wake you up, you better hurry or you'll be late for the train". I unplugged my phone from the charger and checked the time.

"What time are we leaving?"
"At 10 sweetie"
Crap crap crap

It was 9:36 and in less than 30 minutes I'm going to leave for Hogwarts. I quickly get up and bolt to my bathroom, took a shower, and (still in my towel) start packing frantically putting the last of the clothes I picked the night before in my suitcase along with my laptop, chargers, my wand, some jewelry, bathroom supplies, etc and start getting ready with choosing my outfit and doing my makeup

I finished and had about 10 minutes to spare.

I walk downstairs and greet my parents "Morning mom, dad". I see my dad reading the newspaper and my mom washing the dishes

"It's cold eggs and bacon for your last breakfast before you leave" my mom said sadly but still annoyed

"Thank youuu" I said then kissed her cheek

I finish eating and it was time to go

I hug my mother tightly one last time. My mother holds my shoulders and looks at me

"Sera, whatever happens I just want you to be careful there okay?" She looks at me with tear filled eyes

"Of course mom, I won't let anyone find out about us" I give her a sympathetic smile, holding my necklace subconsciously.

it's the necklace aunt Regina and my mother gave me for my 11th birthday, I haven't taken it off since. I hug her one last time and we're off

*********1 hour car ride later************

"You sure you have everything? Are you absolutely sure?"

"Yes dad, you've asked me that like 50 times already, I'm sure"

"Alright then" he said, sadness in his voice and hugged me tight and I hugged him back

"Hogwarts is a wonderful place you'll love it there, I just know it, my time there was absolutely amazing and I want you to have that.....it's not that I have a problem with Regina teaching you magic, you can definitely still learn from her when you visit and just teleport to wherever she is, but I just want you to experience more than just practicing at home with us, I want you to learn both your grandmother's ways with magic and mine like I did when I was your age."

After that speech I'm tongue-tied. I don't know what to say
Should I thank him ?
Should I just throw in a sarcastic joke ?
Should I just not say anything ?

I settled with thanking him that just ended up in a long hug
*cough* with a few tears thrown in *cough*

What?
NO I didn't just cry pshhhhhh
*insert nervous laugh here*

I said my last goodbyes and got on the train to try and find an empty cabin (is that what it's called ??)

I walk nearly to the end of the train and finally manage to find an empty one. I settle in and check my watch 10:52

8 minutes till we go, might as well listen to some music so I plug in my earphones and listen to the comforting voice of Ed Sheeran

It makes me wonder why the wizarding world pushes away muggle culture (Including my parents). I don't see anything wrong with it they're actually really creative and make great technology and music and clothes and ahh I'm rambling on. Hopefully I'll find someone who at least somewhat appreciates what an iPhone is at hogwarts so I don't seem like a complete weirdo

After a few minutes of listening to Ed I heard a knock on the door and take my earphones out

From the corner of my eye I can see someone with ginger hair, a girl with a ponytail and I scarcely see a lightning scar

HOLY FRIKIN CRAP IT'S HARRY FRIKIN POTTER WTF!?!!

WHO ARE THESE TWO ?
WHY IS NO ONE SCREAMING !?!!

My eyes feel like they're about to pop out of my head but I quickly realized what I'd probably look like to them so I keep my cool, I am not about to look like some obsessive fangirl in front of them and I am definitely not losing my grip just because of some small encounter

I look over and see the girl mouthing something

"Can we sit with you"

I'm so sorry it took me 528046291037291 years to post, I knew what I wanted to happen i just didn't know how to start, if there are any of you left that actually want to read this fic

I am also sorry that I don't have a reference to what Sera looks like, she's kinda based off what i look like so I don't know if it'll help if i put a picture of myself up there? (If you want) .

But whatever you imagine what sera looks like always picture that necklace around her neck or pretend it's under her shirt if you don't picture her with it remember she wears it at ALL and I mean ALL TIMES she would never ever take it off for anything. There'll be an explanation soon as to what that necklace is, I put a picture of what it looks like up there

Hopefully the next chapter won't take quite as long as this one I'll try to finish it by sometime next weekend
