Sun busied himself with keeping the Daycare clean. He really loved his job! After a while, he stopped organizing everything and looked up. "Oh my, I forgot about Alexandria!" He neatly placed some pillows in a row and fluffed them up. After giving them a little pat, he pranced over to where she was supposed to be sleeping. "Oh, sunshine! Are you okay?" he said in a whisper. After there was no answer, he studied her bed setup carefully. He smiled, "Finally, she's fallen asleep." He was about to prance off, but he suddenly received a foreign transmission.
"Don't trust her......Sun...."
Sun immediately stood up straight. "W-who's there?" he stuttered. "I'm trained in martial arts! I-I can hurt you!" he said, visibly shaking.
"Idiot....." the voice responded.
Sun determined that the voice was coming from within his processors, so he quickly ran an analysis. "I've dealt with my fair share of hackers before" his eyes flashed a little. "You don't want to do this." Sun's eyes moved back and forth as the analysis processed fully. A little "beep!" signified that it was done. Sun sat down and viewed the results. He immediately jumped back up in surprise. "MOON???"
"Surprise," Moon said sarcastically.
Sun became saddened, "But Moon, are you...back to normal?"
"I don't know. Not even sure how I'm communicating with you. But you need to listen, the girl's not here."
"What?!" Sun screamed and frantically ran over to where Alexandria was supposed to be resting at. He put his fingers up to his mouth nervously and took away the blanket. Two pillows were stacked on each other and that was all. Sun deflated. "She....left the Daycare?" His immediate response was sadness, but it quickly changed to worry. "W-what if she's hurt? Moon, what if...what if one of them gets her?"
"I guess you better go find her then, huh?" If Moon had eyes right now, he would roll them.
"Moon, you know I can't do that," Sun said sadly. He looked over at the foreign area beyond the Daycare. "I-I can't leave" he said, nervously picking at his fingers.
Moon sighed. "Sundrop, I know you've never been the smartest, but you have to understand this. If you care about that girl at all, you need to go save her. I...I don't trust myself to handle it right now, and you know the layout a little better. Think of what will happen if you leave her alone in the Pizzaplex."
Sun whimpered. "I-I-I can't do this, Moon. You know I can't!" he said anxiously. "I haven't left since" Sun looked down at his hands and remembered the sounds of cutting and readjusting. Parts mingled together, and electricity sparked. He shuddered, "the incident."
Moon took a breath "I know. I'm..." he thought for a bit "I'm sorry. But Sun, she won't survive out there. Imagine if one of those miniature Music Men caught her. Imagine if she tried to use one of those old cooking systems. Imagine...imagine if Monty got a hold of her." There was a few minutes of silence until Sun finally sighed.
"Do you really think I can do this, Moon?" he looked up, as if Moon was standing right in front of him.
"I know you can. You-" Moon got cut off as he was talking, and a giant "TRANSMISSION LOST" error message flashed against Sun's inner screen. He blinked his eyes, and the screen was no longer there.
Looking around the Daycare one last time, he knew he couldn't stay here. "Please, don't get yourself into trouble." he said, hoping it would reach Alexandria in time.
Alexandria opened her mouth to scream, but no sound came out. Her shadow flew in front of her for protection, but Monty grabbed her immediately.
"Uh uh, no unfair powerups" he said as he threw the shadow in a special cage. Whenever the shadow tried to get out, a phantasmal shock would electrify her and she would get pushed back.
"No!!" Alexandria screamed as Monty laughed.
"Aw what's wrong little gal, used to cheating? Not in Monty's house." he smirked and backhanded her. She flew against the wall and her vision started to spin. She barely saw Monty walking up to her in time and moved out of the way of his foot.
He held his leg in pain as he hopped up and down. "Ow! Dangit, you'll pay for that you little brat!!" he said as he tried to locate her again.
She ran and hid behind one of the food stalls. Slow footsteps could be heard in the distance as she held her breath. She still felt dizzy, so it was hard for her to focus. She scooted herself across the floor quietly and tried to see where Monty was by using a small mirror's reflection. Vision still spinning, she forced herself to focus. A small glint of green caught her eye and she ducked behind the stall again. Monty's footsteps could be heard running towards her now, and he broke into the stall. She crawled along the floor and tried to see her surroundings through tears.
Monty licked his teeth in anticipation. "Don't leave me hanging here, little gal. Come on out for Uncle Monty." He saw her crawling from the corner of his eye and decided to play along. "Oh no, I guess she went this way," he said and pretended to leave. He was actually going around to the back of the stall.
Alexandria steadied her breathing and started building up the courage to take another look around the corner. Trembling, she slowly put her head around the wall.
But Monty was there to grab her. He laughed as she struggled to break free of his grip. "Ha! Thought you'd be a little tougher than that, little gal. Too bad you weren't able to put up much of a fight. We don't get many visitors past closing hours." He opened his teeth, and they sparkled sharply in the dim light. She looked down in horror and continued to flail much harder. "Heh heh, want a closer look?" he said as he started to lower her into his mouth. A pink light shined faintly on his eyes.
"No....no please no..." Alexandria said as her vision finally started to blur. A very faint vision appeared in front of her, of her sister smiling on her birthday. ".....Claire....." Alexandria lost consciousness, and her arms hung limply by her sides as her head fell.
Monty stopped lowering her and closed his mouth. "Huh?" he said as he studied her closely. Right before he could figure anything out, however, someone tackled him to the ground.
The new figure caught Alexandria and shook his head. "What is wrong with you Monty?"
Monty picked up his now shattered sunglasses and his eyes turned red again. "Aw what the hell, Bonnie? Why'd you have to do that, man?"
"You know exactly why. You almost went overboard again." Glamrock Bonnie looked at him angrily.
Monty rolled his eyes, "Come on, I wasn't really going to eat her. We were just messing around."
Bonnie looked at the girl in his arms and then back at Monty "Uh huh. I'm kind of having a hard time believing that." He walked back to the entrance of the bowling alley "And besides, I think you gave her a concussion."
Monty looked at him confused. "Huh? No, I didn't do that. My programming don't allow me to hurt a kid."
Bonnie studied him carefully and realized he was telling the truth. "Hmm." he said and unlocked the door. He turned to view the cage that the shadow was trapped in. "And what is this?"
"Uhh, I don't know, what is that?" Monty said, pretending to play dumb.
"Cut the stupid act, I know you did this." Bonnie said and began unlocking the cage. Monty crossed his arms and watched. "Sorry about that, little girl," Bonnie said and opened the cage.
Before they could say anything else, the shadow snatched Alexandria from Glamrock Bonnie's arms and flew through the newly unlocked entrance.
