Making sure the kids are safe is a top priority of mine and I've grown to love this job! I love the kids! Hell I get my own more than it may seem! Especially when I have a lot of time on my hands! Zaela, Ziana, Zion, and Zane! Two boys and two girls! I'm definitely blessed beyond measures!
"Mr. Taylor, would you like a tray?"
Zac, "Sure!"
Most of the teachers here are nice, I wouldn't dare turn down food from them! It's the young ones who don't have morals or respect that get me! I grabbed the tray and sat down next to Isaias and Isábella and ate! The food is surprisingly good and I'm a picky eater! When I finished I grabbed my tray and theirs and took them upfront before kissing their forehead and going back to my post! After the kids left out of the lunchroom, I went back up front to stand by the door!
Jewel came up to the office, "Ace, can I see you in my office for a minute?"
"Yes ma'am!"
I walked behind her and as we entered her office, she closed the door, "Ace, are you okay?"
"Yes ma'am I am!"
Jewel, "You don't have to lie to me! I know you were really close to my niece and there was a connection there! I just want you to know we will figure this out! You're doing an amazing job with the kids and they adore you!"
"Thank You! I'm just doing what T would've wanted me to do and that's make sure they're straight!"
Jewel, "Well keep up the good work and if you need to talk, just know I'm here for you!"
I stood up, "Yes ma'am thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
I went back to my post and I needed to wipe my face cause damn I really do miss her! Her smell was enticing, her smile was captivating, her voice was breathtaking, her eyes were gentle, and her skin was smooth! Definitely a diamond in the ruff but she was tough! She could handle anything that's why I refuse to believe that she didn't make it out of that house alive no matter what the coroner says! They showed up and stated that they had dna evidence of her in the house but everything was badly burned so it would take a minute to process the whole scene! They're currently looking for the men sitting outside of her house but they'll never find them, courtesy of me!
Time was flying by fast because soon, the kids were on their way out and we were headed home! I grabbed them some chick-fil-a and we headed to the house! I needed a minute to decompress so my mom bathed both of them after they ate! We played some games and watched some TV and before I knew it, it was 8:30 and I was putting them in the bed! I sleep in Fatima's room because everything smells like her! I went to take a shower and then I checked on them before laying down!
Dear God,
I ask that you continue to grant us serenity and allow Fatima to find her way home! I love that woman so much and we need her more than anything! I thank you for the journey you've taken me on and the peace you continue to grant me! In your name I pray AMEN!
