The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden light over the neighborhood. I had a brief exchange with Ni Xing and Son Yen before the car drove off, leaving me standing at the entrance to my house. I took a deep breath and pushed open the gate, stepping inside.

The familiar sights and scents of my house greeted me as I walked through the yard. The sound of crickets chirping filled the air as I approached the front door. I was hit by a wave of nostalgia.

I knocked on the door...
The sound of my knuckles against the porch echoed through the silence. I waited, listening for any signs of movement from inside the house.

A few moments passed before I heard footsteps approaching the door. The sound of the latch unlocking followed, and the door creaked open.

Ma was standing in the doorway, a mixture of surprise and joy on her face as she looked at me. "Mimi?" she exclaimed, eyes widening.

I smiled faintly, feeling a sense of comfort and warmth at the sight of my mother's face. "I'm back, Ma," I said, stepping inside.

Ma immediately wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug, squeezing me tightly. "Oh, my goodness," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "You've been gone so long..."

I returned the hug, feeling the familiar warmth and love that I so missed. "I missed you too," I said quietly, burying my face against her chest.

"Where's Pa?" I asked, looking over her shoulder and around the house

Ma released me from the hug and stepped back, gesturing towards the living room. "He's in there," she said, her face still showing signs of surprise. "He just got home a few minutes ago."

I stepped into the living room, my eyes finding Pa settled in his armchair, looking slightly bewildered. He looked up as I entered the room, his expression mirroring Ma's.

"You're back," he said, rising from the armchair and walking towards me.

I smiled faintly and nodded, feeling both relieved and a little awkward all at once. "Yeah, I'm back," I said softly, feeling a bit exposed.

Pa studied me for a moment, his eyes taking in my presence. "You look tired," he said finally, a hint of concern in his voice.

"yeah, I kinda am... actually I came here since we had a meeting with Dream Games'...the company we're collaborating with for a game...
We had a long meeting so I'm a bit worn out..." I say, explaining the reason for my arrival....
