Chapter 3-
Please read the end note. It's important (:
"How was school today, kiddo?" Charlotte, my step-mom, asked.
"Fine," I pursed my lips and dropped my backpack on the chair in my living table. I had just walked into the kitchen where Charlotte was making some dinner for later.
The sound of heels clanked on the tile floor, "She was talking to me, you idiot."
Charlotte turned her head to my step-sister, Lena, while stirring her pot, "Actually, Lena, I was talking to Logan."
"And then a monster with makeup and heels walked in," I said to her, emotionless. I really should've shut my mouth.
Lena turned sharp on her heels and shot me daggers. If only looks could kill. "What did you just say?---"
"Oh sweetheart, lighten up. Logie was just kidding," Charlotte snickered and smiled at me.
The corners of my lips curved, making a fake smile.
Lena rolled her eyes, "Whatever." She turned to her mom, "Can I borrow your car?"
Charlotte grabbed a hand towel and wiped her hands, "My convertable? Where are you going?"
"Beck's house. We're doing a project for Italian class," Lena tried to pull off her best smile. Of course she was lying. No doubt about it. I scoffed lightly and crossed my arms, but she shot me a look.
"Beck? That varsity bad boy, douche bag?" her mom raised an eyebrow. I snorted and laughed so hard. It was quite shocking because I never used to laugh this much. It was so amusing to watch that my stomach started to hurt.
"Mooommm," she whined, "I'm not joking, this project costs like half of our grade for this semester!"
Charlotte rolled her eyes, "I would let you go, but dressed like that? Nu uh," she wagged her finger at Lena.
Lena was wearing a light denim jacket, long black leather pants, red heels, and some tube top or bra thing or some sort. Thank gawd I'm not a girl.

She rolled her eyes, "Mom. Keys." Charlotte's eyebrows furrowed and disapproved. She open one of the top cabinets and took her car keys off the key hook, "You're cruisin' for a bruisin', missy. If there's one dent in my car, you're done for. It's 4pm right now so I want you back in this house by six for dinner," Charlotte chucked the car keys at Lena and she caught them instantly, "Thank mommy, love you."
Lena scurried out of the house.
I licked my lips. "Sometimes I wish Lena was a bit more like you. Not boy crazy," Charlotte rolled her eyes.
I shrugged, "Lena isn't so bad. She's just stubborn."
She laughed and leaned her head back slightly as she added some ingredients into her dish, "You're too funny Logan. Go on up to your room. I'll call you when dinners ready."
I smiled and leaned off up the counter and grabbed my backpack. I headed upstairs.

(Please read the note at the end of this chapter (: Sorry for disturbing your reading I had to put it in the middle so you won't ignore it.)
The next day at school was pretty boring. I finally met the other sophmore kid that Beck beat up the other day. He walked up to me at lunch in the cafeteria, thanking me.
"Hey, Logan right?"
I looked up from my book to see a skinny boy with dirty blonde, shaggy hair. "Um, yea," I said.
"Thanks for stopping Beck yesturday. He would've beaten me up until my internal organs bled out," he chuckled.
"Oh. Y-you're Camer---"
"I'm Cameron. Georgia told me about you," he smiled, "Is it okay if I sit here?"
I nodded quickly, "Of course." He sat down. A new friend maybe?
"You know, Beck and his whole 'crew' are so stupid. Those assholes actually think they're being original, but really they're all gay for each other," he smirked.
There was a shadow that overcasted Cameron, "Well Cammy, no one would be surprised if you were gay for them, too."
I looked up to see Georgia standing there so beautifully. She was wearing a Beatles tank top, floral shorts, and blue Toms. My lips parted slightly, taking in her beauty.

She pulled out a chair next to Cameron and sat down next to him with her arm around his shoulder.
"Hello to you, too, George," he rolled his eyes.
"Ah, yes. Curious George," she smirked at him, "Thats my name, don't wear it out." They snickered at each other.
"Um," I spoke up, "You two look good together. How long have you guys been dating?"
Georgia smiled at me amusingly and raised an eyebrow. Cameron covered his mouth with his hand to resist from having laughing fits. He failed, "Are you crazy? Who would date this hoe?" he laughed and turned his head to Georgia. She rolled her eyes and giggled, "Cameron and I aren't dating. We're just really close childhood friends."
"Actually no, she just friend-zoned me. Apparently she thought that because I was a lot more gorgeous than her, she would lose the spotlight," he chuckled.
"Shut up, you idiot," she slapped his arm playfully. Cameron put his hands up in surrender.
"So Logan," Georgia smiled at me, "What about you? Do you have a girlfriend?"
I shook my head, "I've never had one." Cameron gasped, "Never?" I nodded.
"I don't really want one," I shrugged and looked down at my food.
Georgia furrowed her eyebrows, "Cameron don't tease him. He's is just shy." "Well maybe because you seem really quiet and shut down, Logan," he piped in.
I shrugged again, "I don't plan to have one at this moment. My mom died last year of cancer so that's probably why. But I'm kinda over it already," I looked up at them emotionless at what I said.
