Georgia's Pov-

"I don't plan to have one at this moment.  My mom died last year of cancer so that's probably why.  But I'm kinda over it already," Logan said.

My smile faded and I just stared at him.  Cameron and I were both lost for words.  I tried to search Logan's face for any sign of sadness, but there wasn't any.  I couldn't speak.

Cameron broke the silence and tried changing the subject, "So Logan, how are you liking your first few months of school? Georgia told me you moved here last month," he fake smiled.

I turned my head to Cameron and gave him eyes of pity.  He looked back at me for a moment raising his eyebrows, thinking the same thing, before turning his attention back to Logan.

"School is okay I guess.  The teachers are nice," Logan shrugged.

"What about the students?" Cameron grinned, "Make any your friends?"

Logan took a bite of his apple, shaking his head in the progress, "Nope. I don't have any friends."

More sorrow grew inside of me. Cameron tried to fake a smile, "Common, Logie, you must have at least one friend here at Montgomery High."

He shook his head once more.  Again, I looked at Cameron and nudged his side with my elbow.

I observed Logan's face really hard.  There was no sign of sadness or regret.  It was as if he was totally okay with this.  Well..maybe he is.. Is he?  Here I am trying to figure out this mysterious boy, and I'm failing miserably.  I felt sorry for Logan, yet he showed no emotion.. just a careless face.

I spoke up trying to be bold for once, "Of course you have friends, Logan," I gave him a reassuring smile.

Logan scoffed, "Like who?"

I stood up abruptly and slammed my hands on the table.  I flashed him a big smile, "Cameron and I are your friends now," I walked over to Logan and sat in the empty chair next to him.  I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and smiled up at him.

"Yea, we'll be your friends, dude," Cameron piped in.

The corners of Logan's mouth curved upwards slightly at me.  He smiled.

Logan was a mysterious boy.

Logan's POV-

Georgia was so beautiful.  She was actually talking to me. ME. She and Cameron were pretty cool. After Georgia told me that she and he were now my friends, my confidence lifted up inside of me.  Maybe school won't be so bad. --- If that's if you get rid off the bullies and egoistic jackasses.

I could tell after I told them that my mother had died, things got awkward and silent.  Georgia gave Cameron a pointed look.  Her eyebrows were furrowed and her lips were parted. Her eyes were shiny and were filled with compassion and pity. Did they feel sorry for me? --- Well.. they shouldn't.

At this current time I was walking to my next class which was science. I sighed as I stepped into classroom 307.  Athena Jones was in this class. You're probably thinking, "Oh, he obviously doesn't like this Athena girl."  Well, you're absolutely right.  I'm not the type of person to really dislike someone.  But Athena? She was so boss-----
