     Damn, I'm hot..

"Koa!" I could hear my mother yelling at me, her yells echoing through the walls. Groaning, I threw my shirt off and got dressed for the day. "Your ass better be awake!" More yells could be heard, only making me dread the day even more. My mother's never gave me a break. It was always do this or do that, or be up at this time or change your clothes because you look like too much like an omega.

My mothers never forgot to let me know how much of a disgrace I was to the family. Through generations and generations, every single one of us have been alphas, even the women which was not like other packs. Most alphas were men, and besides, typically if it happened to be a woman they would force her to bear more children until it was a male, then kill her. Though, our pack is different. We welcome women in power and have no problem with it, some believing they are better at leading anyways.

Therefore, it wasn't a surprise when my mother was born an alpha. The only difference was that she had a child with an omega, leaving me born as a one also. If it's confusing, my omega mother is biologically a male.

Our family hasn't had an omega in the family tree for hundreds of years, and one reason for that is incest. It was very unfortunate.

To this day, almost eighteen years later I still have no idea what truly happened. I, of course knew I was supposed to be killed, due to being born as an omega, but something strange had happened. We of course believe in the moon goddess, so having a special day to specifically celebrate and show her our gratitude was needed. I happened to be born on that day, the day I was supposed to be killed.

The killing of omegas in our family were rare, but when done they were public, weirdly enough.

During the celebrations and festival, I was set to be killed, but a sudden force had stopped the guard.

I heard stories of the deathly storms that day. Half of the pack had been killed due to them, and it was only when I began to cry that they had stopped.

The rain was said to have been made of acid and even a drop of it would burn your skin deeply. I was thrown to the ground and left to burn from the rain and the flooding.

The people who happened to make it out alive had their houses torn apart by the massive tornadoes.

The only reason I was kept alive was because my alpha mother felt as if I had caused this, she believed I possessed powers and was able to rule due to this. Even if I was weak, I had powers. But, this wasn't true. I knew I didn't cause that incident. I believed that the goddess had caused it. I believed she was angry. Angry for the reason that on the one day of the year that we celebrate everything she had done for us, some peasants decided to kill an innocent child, one that she had just greeted life too.

The door could be heard slamming open, probably leaving another dent in the wall. I rolled my eyes and looked into my mirror at my angry mother. "What the hell did I tell you!? We've gone over this every day! You be ready by seven and drive your ass to school. If you're late it will make us look bad."

The first day of my senior year started today and my mother made sure to let me know how my life will go for the next year. I was actually not dreading today until I heard her sorry ass bitching at me. She always made everything miserable. "Shit, I know! Damn it. Maybe if you weren't always fucking bitching about everything I wouldn't be late," I spat, not regretting it even once I noticed her clenching her fist. She was going to punch me.

     "You fucking ungrateful brat!"

I could feel blood seeping down my mouth, leaving me clenching the steering wheel even harder. She's crazy if she thinks I'm going to school after what she had done. I'm going wherever the hell I want now!

'You should have hit her back,' Pickle, my inner wolf said to me. "I would never hit a woman. They create life and should never be disrespected in such manner." Me and my wolf were different in some areas, and respect was one. 'But you disrespected her already, what difference would it make to give her a tiny slap?'

Instead of arguing, I decided to focus on driving and leave the conversation at that.

I was currently headed to my favorite place in the world to be. It was far off in the mountains where no one went other than to hunt, and even that was rare to see up here. Most hunted in the woods next to their pack land, and thankfully no pack lived near here. 'So peaceful today..' Pickle sighed, letting his thoughts drift away.

I managed to find a good spot and parked, throwing my phone to the ground and locking the door. I felt many messages and calls going off but no way did I care at the moment. The only thing I wished to do was to find a nice patch of grass near the waterfall and take a cozy nap.

I strutted around and after a while spotted the perfect place. Carefully did I sit down and rest my head to the ground, letting go of everything that had happened today. Though, a strange feeling scattered through the back of my mind. I didn't feel at ease like I usually did. I felt.. as if I was being watched and usually my intuition was right.

My eyes opened and carefully scanned my surroundings. I didn't see anything but would rather walk around to make sure, so that's what I did.

My hands pushed off the ground, helping me back onto my feet. Before I could even start walking, I felt a chill down my spine, and that is when I knew I wasn't alone. Something was behind me. No, someone was behind me. Someone who was way larger than me, more powerful than me. Someone who had a presence so powerful that I could feel my legs began to shake. "Who are you?" I called out, unmoving but not scared enough to attack if needed.

Any omega would have surely fell to their knees and submitted to the strange creature by now, but not me. I wasn't any omega, I was soon to be the next pack leader.

"I am the reasoning for your existence."
