Janvi's sudden arrival with Surbhi caught me completely off guard. I wasn't expecting them, especially not here, in Shrivastav's Mansion. This was the first time my friends had visited, and their timing couldn't have been more surprising.

Kalyani aai, being her thoughtful self, gave us some space. She smiled and left the room, taking Shaurya along with her. Now it was just us girls, the perfect setup for some much-needed gossip. But as I looked at Janvi and Surbhi, I couldn't shake off the feeling that they had something unexpected to share. This wasn't going to be just another casual chat. Janvi's eyes told everything I wanted to know, her silence was the calm before a storm.

"Have I missed something while I was busy changing diapers?" I asked, breaking the silence as Surbhi kept throwing me those speak-up-now looks.

She hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "Beauty is getting married to the Beast." Her voice was low, but the words hit like a slap on my face. I let out a sympathic sigh, the weight of her words sinking in my heart.

Janvi shifted closer to me, and before I knew it, her head was resting on my shoulder. "Why is my life so messed up?" she mumbled, her voice cracking. "I don't want to marry him!"

I wrapped an arm around her, trying to keep my voice steady. "You can stand up for yourself, Janvi. Just say no."

"I tried," she said, her words trembling with frustration. "I tried not once, but so many times! No one listens. No one cares." And with that, she broke down, her tears soaking into my dress material.

She clutched my hand tightly, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Please... help me get out of this."

Surbhi and I exchanged a glance, the same thought flickering in both our minds-whatever this was, everything is going to turn into bad.

"I'll try" I whispered, gently patting Janvi's shoulder. Her tears were slowing, but the storm inside her was far from over. "But.. weren't you in love with him?" I asked , the memory of all those calls and chats flooding back-how she'd gush about him like he was the center of her world.

Janvi lifted her head, her eyes filled with a mix of frustration and confusion. "I wasn't. I'm not. And I never will be!" she said, her voice trembling. "He tricked me... or maybe I tricked myself. I don't even know anymore. It's all such a mess!"

Before I could respond, Surbhi, ever the drama queen, decided to butt in. "Exactly why I brought her here," she announced, grabbing a cupcake from the table. She took a bite and continued, her mouth half-full, "You're the expert, after all. Happily married, madly in love with your husband. If anyone can sort this mess, it's you."

I shot her a hard glare, but she just shrugged, her expression all too innocent as she held up the cupcake like it was her defense. "Sorry, but I'm just being practical." she mumbled through a mouthful, clearly not sorry at all.

"You're being impossible," I shot back, crossing my arms.

Surbhi grinned and popped the last bit of cupcake into her mouth. "Call it what you want, but you know I'm right."
