That night, I lay in bed thinking about her. I had to tell her how I felt. It had been four years, this wasn't some schoolboy crush. If I didn't tell her now, I never would.
I opened up my laptop and logged on to Skype. She was online so I popped up to her.
"Hi :)" I wrote.
She replied quickly, "Hey, how are you?"
We spoke for a good twenty minutes about normal things before I wrote. "I need to be honest with you."
She wrote back, "Yeah, there's some things I haven't told you too."
I was confused, did she like me too..?
"You go first." I wrote.
"Ok... Well I've really not been okay for a couple of years now. I just got back from the doctor and I've been diagnosed with depression and severe anxiety. Honestly, I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I really need your support right now. You're my best friend and I hope you always will be." Well that was a kick in the guts. Clearly she didn't want to be anything more than a friend, so there was no point in me telling her anything.
"Just know that I'll always be here for you, no matter what :)" I replied, and settled down to sleep.
"Well that didn't go to plan." I muttered. I felt the tears stream down my face on to my batman bedsheets. If I couldn't be in a relationship with her, I would be the best friend to her as I could be. I sighed and wiped my eyes before I drifted off into an unrestful sleep.

The next morning I woke up and got ready for school. I couldn't wait to get there and give Lisa a hug to tell her that everything was going to be okay.
I grabbed my school bag and got on the bus. I did my maths homework, as usual and listened to music. I had to kill time somehow on the journey. Lisa lived nearer to school so she didn't get the bus with me.
Soon I got to school, where she was waiting for me at the front gates. I ran up and hugged her as soon as I saw her. "Everything is going to be okay" I whispered as she hugged me tightly, like she'd never let me go.
