Two weeks passed. Things were going great between Draco and Harry, they were sneaking out every night and meeting in lone corridors on the top floor, under the invisibility cloak. To kill any rumors that flew around, the boys still portrayed their hostile attitudes when others were around, but the rude slurs quickly turned into jokes in the night. Draco had never been happier. Finally, he found someone who understood him, who liked him for him and not for his wealth or high status.
Draco smiled as he slid his feet down the corridor. It was 11:30, far past curfew. He had to stop every time he thought he heard a noise to be ready to run in case Peeves came around. He never did, though.
Finally, he reached the top of the stairs and darted behind a corner to see Harry Potter leaning against the brick wall, his legs stretched out in front of him.
"Oh, hello you foul git." Harry smiled. Draco laughed and sat next to Harry, their arms touching, hands holding. "Any trouble getting up here?"
"None at all, you?" Draco replied.
"Knocked a vase down. I had to run before Mr. Filch came." Harry bumped his knee against Draco's. "That bloke has been seizing every opportunity to bust me ever since he saw me dart through the halls the other night."
"Poor Harry Potter. The boy who lived must have the hardest life." Draco purred.
"Hey! You don't know what you're talking about." Harry said and jumped on to Draco's lap. His hands darted to Draco's sides and started to tickle him. Tickle. Draco thought it was the most ridiculous thing, but he couldn't help but laugh. Loudly.
"Sss- stop. Please, you're going to get us caught!" Draco wheezed, falling over on to his side. Harry complied, and once Draco was up again, Harry siezed his unsuspecting lips and pulled him into a hot, steamy kiss. Like clockwork, all of Draco's worries flew away. Kissing Harry did that. He wished he could just kiss Harry forever. With no care in the world, Draco reached up and tangled his hands in the back of Harry's dark, messy hair. Their tounges fought as Harry repositioned himself so that he was straddling Harry.
A loud cough erupted from the end of the hall. Draco and Harry froze, their lips mere centimeters from each other, too scared to pull completely away and see who had found their secret meeting. Draco forced his eyes open and looked at Harry. There was terror in his wide, green eyes. His mouth hung open, lips still shimmering and swollen from their tounge battle. In the refliction of his glasses, Draco saw a tall man with long black hair. His black cloak was oversized and billowed behind him as he slowly came closer.
Draco closed his eyes again, praying that he and Harry could dissapparate, but they didn't know how yet. And you couldn't inside the castle.
Please go away. Please, please, please leave us alone!
"Draco, I suggest closing your mind before willing someone to leave your presence. It's rude." Professor Snape said quietly, an evil smile portraying on his face. "And Mr. Potter, what ever happened to your invisibility cloak? Surely, you would have though that if you were going to use an unforgivable curse on someone, to at least hide the evidence."
"Unforgivable...?" Harry whispered, so quietly he almost missed it.
"Well, it is obvious you have used the imperious curse on Draco."
"No!" Draco shot back. He didn't what made him stand up to the head of his house, but he did. "I haven't been imperioused." He said shakily.
"Oh? Why don't you both come to my office." Snape said and quickly turned and walked away.
Harry awkwardly removed himself from Draco's lap and slowly, they followed their teacher out of the hall. Harry's head hung low and his face had turned bright red. Draco could see that he was chewing on the bottom of his lip, a habit he didn't know Harry had. He could see his tounge peek over his lip every once in a while, and was reminded of when Harry's tounge was in his mouth.
"Mr. Potter," Snape said once they were in his office, drawing out the name, "would you care to explain what happened?"
Harry's hair was still messy, and he kept fidgeting in his chair. Clearly, this was not how he had planned the night to turn out. "Uh, well, I," Harry rubbed the back of his head. "I told Draco to meet me in the corridor. And he did." Harry stuttered, desperately trying to simplify and make the meeting seem innocent.
"I can assume that. Must I use veritaserum? Legilimency?" Snape said angrily.
"No!" Draco screamed. He was furious. "Thats what happened! Harry gave you an answer."
"How about you give an explanation than, Draco?"
Harry shifted in his seat. He looked as if he was about to say something, but Draco shot him a look, and he shook his head and leaned back.
"Harry told me to meet him in the corridor. I accepted, fully under my control. Not imperioused. And I got there and Harry was already there. And we talked, and I teased Harry and he started tickling me." Draco swallowed. Too emberassed to admit what came next to his head of housea. "And then Harry and I kissed."
"Mmm. Clearly. What a touching story, but I am aware you both know the rules, and that sexual activity of any sort is not allowed." Snape said, his eyes like slits. "Detentions will be given to both of you," Snape leaned his hands on his desk and dropped his voice, "if I catch you two messing around again, the punishments will be much worse than detentions." He stood up again. "Harry, leave my office and head straight to the Gyrffindor common room, and tomorrow, be prepared to tell your story to Professor McGonagall. Draco, stay behind."
Draco watched as Harry quietly walked out of the room. He hoped that this wouldn't change anything. He hoped that the boy who had loved him still would. That Harry would keep fighting for Draco, no matter how many detentions Snape could throw at him. Draco became infuriated and curled his fists. He scruched up his nose and turned to face Snape.
"Now, now, Draco. Don't get so hasty." He said, raising a finger.
"I loved him." Draco said though gritted teeth.
"For your own well being, I will be sure to tell your father how much you love Harry Potter." Snape smirked.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Draco's mouth hung open. No matter how hard he hoped, he was wrong. This would change everything.
