The next morning, it was safe to say, Draco had several riveting dreams of Harry. But this time, he did not regret having them, in fact, he wished he had had more. Harry promised him they could keep last night secret, he trusted Harry's word. Secretly, Draco wished that they could have more nights like that, and Draco suspected so did Harry. With the invisibility cloak, anything was possible.
When Draco finally rolled out of bed, the dormitory was completely empty. He took his time getting ready and when he slipped his shirt on, his thumb brushed accidentally against his abdomen and sent a tingling sensation up his spine and closed in around his heart, leaving it to beat loudly in his ears. Draco smiled to himself as he walked out of the common room, up the stairs, and to the great hall. When he found it empty, reality hit him. He had overslept. He had dreamed about Harry. He saw Harry... He didn't even want to think about Harry.
Quickly, he rushed off to the potions classroom, late for Snapes class, terrified. He had skipped detention. What were the punishments for that? Harry skipped it too, would they have to serve more detentions together? Draco's stomach turned at the thought of this. What would his father say if he found out he skipped detention with Harry? What wouldnfis father say if he found out about last night?
Draco's mind raced for an excuse of why he was late and why he missed detention, but found that when he walked in, Draco didn't need one.
"You're late, Draco." Snape sneered when he walked into the classroom.
"Sorry, sir, I-" Draco started but was cut off.
"I don't want to hear your excuses, Draco, stay after class." Draco obeyed silently, and was thankful for a reason to not talk. He ignored Crabbe and Goyles questions and started to work quietly, refusing to return the gaze Harry was giving him from across  room, no matter how much he wanted- or didn't want- to look at him.
When class ended, Draco gathered his books and walked up to Professor Snapes desk. He saw Harry leave the classroom and was glad he didn't have to be alone with him again. He was much too confused.
"Draco!" Snape said, and Draco turned his attention to his teacher. "You skipped my detention last night." Draco gulped. "You can not go running around, giving our house a bad representation! Espically with Potter! What were you thinking?"
Drack did not have an answer. What was he thinking?
"I expect you to behave yourself much better, next time." Snape sighed. "And never let me catch you running around with Harry Potter again. Goodbye, Draco."
"Wait, wait sir? I don't have another detention?" Draco asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Not this time, Draco, but don't take my warnings lightly." Snape sneered.
Draco rushed out of the classroom and once the door was closed, a hand grabbed his shoulders and turned him around.
"Are you just gonna leave me like that?" Harry Potter smirked.
Draco shook his head. "No, no Harry, I can't do this." He tried to walk away but Harry's grip on his shoulder was too strong.
"Draco," Harry said more serious than before. His bright green eyes staring into the back of Draco's head. "Draco, don't go. Wait, what's wrong? What happened? Was it Snape?" Harry moved closer so that Draco could feel his hot breath of the back of his neck. The tingling feeling returned. Draco turned to face Harry. He tried to answer his desperate questions, hating that he was making Harry concerned, but the words caught in his throat. A tear rolled down his cheek. "Draco, Draco" Harry cooed, pulling Draco in for a warm embrace. Draco couldn't handle it anymore. He broke down in Harry's arms as a great pain welled up inside him, pulsing though his body. His vision became clouded with tears.
"I'm so confused. I'm so, so confused, Harry." Draco said as he wrapped his arms around Harry's back. His hands hung limply off of Harry's shoulder blades. His body violently rocked with the undeniable sadness that overtook him and dug its way into every nook and cranny of his brain.
"I'm here for you, baby." Harry said, stroking Draco's hair. And that made Draco break down even more. How could someone so sweet, so kind hearted, loving, caring, be with someone like Draco? They couldn't, Draco thought. There was no way.
But that wasn't what Harry thought.
Harry grabbed Draco's tear stained cheeks and pulled his trembling lips closer. "I'm always here," Harry said centimeters away from Draco's lips. Then Harry leaned in, closing the space between the two boys. Suddenly, Draco didn't seem to care about anything. He did not care if someone came barging in on them. He tangled his hands in Harry's black hair and kissed back. The kiss grew steamier, getting more passionate by the second. Love overtook Draco, love for Harry. Despite all their differences, he loved Harry. He was a Slytherin, cunning. He could think of ways to keep this a secret. And Harry, a brave Gryffindor, would be able to fight for Draco. For their love. His father would have a fit if he saw the scene, a Malfoy and a Potter, kissing in front of Professor Snape's classroom. But all of Draco's worries seemed to float away, and the longer the kiss grew, the further his worries flew.
It seemed like years until Harry finally pulled apart, but still leaving his lips an inch away from Draco's. "I love you." Draco said breathlessly.
"I've loved you longer." Harry smiled.
"Must everything be a competition with you, Potter?" Draco teased. Harry's green eyes sparkled from the other side of his glasses.

The boys walked hand in hand up the stairs, thankful that no one was around to see them. When they got to the top of the stairwell, Draco stopped.
"What?" Harry asked, casting a nervous glance at Draco.
"What about your friends?" Draco asked, sharing straight ahead.
"What about them?" Harry said with a smile.
"They don't really... Like me." Draco said quietly. "I mean, I called Hermione a mudblood and I insult her hair, and I always tease Ron for not having as much money and I mess with his family." Draco sighed. "And Fred and George hate me." Draco added, remembering the nosebleed nougat incident. He finally looked over at Harry and saw that his eyes had doubled in size, and were glistening with tears.
"They will have to learn to like you. I like you, so they have to, too. Oh Merlin, Draco, I love you. I love you so much. You and I, Draco, we're a package deal now. And if they can't learn to love you as much as I love you, well maybe not as much," Harry winked at Draco, "but if they can't learn to love you, then they lose both of us. Its you and I, no matter what my friends think." Harry said, squeezing Draco's hand.
"You're sweet," Draco whispered, "but are we gonna tell everyone?"
"I think, I think we should wait a bit." Harry answered, furrowing his eyebrows. "It's just.."
"Yeah, yeah I know." Draco replied. This time, Draco squeezed Harry's hand, very hard, then dropped it. "I have a status to maintain, Potter. I'll try not to tease you too hard." He winked.
"Oh you can tease me, I just prefer it to be in private. Under the invisibility cloak. At, lets say, 12:30 at night, in the Gryffindor common room. The password is 'exploding snaps.'" Harry winked and walked off, leaving Draco smiling like a fool, with images popping in and put of his mind that shouldn't be there at all.
