Chapter 1
Sora woke up with the sun in her eyes. "A-Armin?" She asked and covered her mouth as she yawned. She looked around, but didn't see her brother. She slowly stood up out of bed and looked at her clock. "Great." She said sarcastically "I'm late!" She quickly changed into her uniform and ran to the training yard. She saw all of the other trainees. She went and stood next to her brother. A bald man with a scowl on his face yelled. "Who the hell are you!?" Sora jumped and answered with a straight face "I'm Sora Arlet."
As the bald man continued down the row, he saw another new face. "And who are you!?" He barked into the face of the girl with the long black hair. "Violet Sighner, sir." Said violet, shakily letting out a breath. "Well what are all of you doing standing there!? Get running!" Yelled the bald man once again as the trainees began to run across the grass.
The trainees finished their ten laps just as the sun started to set. Sora bent over painting, she was drenched in sweat. She walked to the showers to clean up. She finished just before dinner started. She walked to the dining area and sat down.
Violet came and sat next to Sora cautiously. "H-hi, I'm Violet" violet said. With a hint of hesitation in her voice. "Hi! I'm Sora! Nice to meet you!" Sora replied beaming, glad to have found a new friend. "We both kinda had to deal with the trainer today, huh?" Giggled Sora as Violet began biting into her stale bread. "Yea. I was terrified." Violet said, quietly laughing along with Sora. "Well, we should head to bed if we want to get up on time tomorrow." Sora said, grabbing Violets hand, surprising her, and pulling her to where the beds were. They decided to share a bunk and of course Sora immediately took the top bunk. "Good night." Violet said softly laying on top of the blankets so she wouldn't have to make her bed in the morning. "Good night." Replied Sora as they both eventually drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the new day ahead.
