A few weeks have passed. The police are still looking for Sandman. They are also trying to catch Spider-Man, but so far their has been elusive.
Y/n was on his way to college, but like every day in the city, something had to happen. After all, the name "New York the City that never sleeps" didn't come from nowhere.
One of the buildings caught fire, evacuations were carried out, and firefighters arrived on the scene.
"Let me in! My baby's in there!" screamed one of the desperate women. "Let me go!"
"The roof's collapsing!" the firefighter replied and started to push her away.
"Somebody save my baby!"
"The roof's about to collapse!"
At that moment, Spider-Man appeared.
"Look! Up there!" one woman shouted, pointing at him.
"Save my baby, please!"
Y/n jumped into the building through the window. Everyone was waiting impatiently for him to come out. Tense moments passed, and he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, the building exploded in one place, and the glass from the windows fell on the people standing below. "No!" the distraught mother screamed, losing all hope of saving her child. Suddenly, Spider-Man jumped out of another window, which exploded right behind him.
He landed with the child on the ground and handed him to the mother. "It's okay. Your baby's fine."
"Oh, my baby!" the mother hugged them tightly. "God bless you, Spider-Man. Bless you."
"Don't let him get away!" the policemen stepped into action. "Hold it! You're under arrest. I'm taking you in."
"Oh my God, there's somebody still up there!" another woman screamed, pointing to the building from which the screams could still be heard.
Y/n looked up, and the policemen did the same. Y/n turned to him. "I'm going."
"I'll be here when you get back."
"Not coming back, chief."
The policeman nodded. "Go! Go!"
Y/n swings to the building through the window. He looked around. Everything was in flames. "Where are you?"
The ceiling above him began to collapse. "Where are you?" he asked again. He heard crying in front of him, he started to head in that direction. "I'm gonna get you out of here!"
"It's okay." Spider-Man finally reached the crying person. He turned around and it turned out to be Sandman.
"Marco?" Y/n was surprised.
Sandman punched him in the abdomen sending him back a few meters.
"You tricked me!" Sandman shouted. His hand turned into a sand hammer.
Y/n stood up. "Marco it's not like that. I wanted to help!"
"My daughter thinks I'm a monster!" Sandman shouted and tried to hit Y/n with the hammer, but he dodged it.
Y/n punched Sandman in the stomach, but his hand went straight through the sand.
The two started fighting. Neither one nor the other was able to deal any damage. Y/n easily dodged Sandman's hammers, and Spider-Man's fists and webs went through Marco. Eventually, the entire building began to explode, and the ceiling and walls began to collapse on them. Due to the heat, the outer layer of Sandman's body began to melt and turn into glass. Marco had to stop using his powers, so Y/n kicked him hard, sending him backward, and managed to escape the collapsing building himself.
