𝟎𝟎𝟑. 𝐒𝐄𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒

003. Sewers

▌ THEY ENTERED eddies house, and sprinted towards the kitchen. First, Bill had thought that Georgie was at the barrens, now the sewers.

"Take everything but the delicious deals, guys. My mom loves them.'' Eddie spoke, he was standing in front of his sink. ''Hey, first you said the barrens and now you're saying the sewer. I mean, what if we get caught?''

''We won't Eds,'' Bill reassured. ''The sewers are p-public works. We're the public aren't we?"

"Yeah but-" Cassie started but shut up as soon as bill shook his head at her.

They opened every cupboard and filled their backpacks with loads of shit. Richie went over and opened a cupboard above the sink, there were a bunch of pills and medications. "Hey Eddie, these birth control pills?" Richie snickered.

Eddie rolled his eyes and closed the cupboard as he said "Yea and I'm saving them for your sister. this is private stuff!"

Cass giggled slightly putting a flashlight in her bag.

The four began to quickly run out of the house before Eddie's mum could catch them, but that mission was not complete.

"Eddie bear, where are you going?" Eddies mum called out from the Living room.

"J-j-just to my backyard Mrs K!!" Bill said as mrs k narrowed her eyes in response suspiciously.

"I got a new-" bill added before getting interrupted by Richie.

''A new croquet set. Jeez, spit it out B-B-Bill!''

''Okay, also sweetie, don't go rolling around in grass. Especially if it's just been cut. You know how bad your allergies can get."

''Yes, mom. Come on.'' Eddie tried pushing everyone out the door when his mom called for him again.

''Aren't you forgetting something?"

Eddie looked at his friends, before sighing. He walked over to her and leaned down, giving her a kiss on the cheek causing Richie to smirk.

"Do you want one from me to mrs k?" He asked laughing.

Eddie stuttered annoyed pushing the three out the door who were all laughing quietly.

"Sorry mommy!" He said before closing the door.

"That's poison ivy, that's poison ivy and that's poison ivy." Stan said, pointing to random green plants. "What! Where's the poison ivy?" Eddie panicked looking around.

''Nowhere. not every fucking plant is poison ivy, Stanley.'' Richie exclaimed, huffing at him. "You're gonna give poor Eddie a heart attack,'' Cass added.

Richie, Bill, and cassie began going inside the sewers. Cass gagged at the smell. She grabbed the back of Bill's arm for support as she slushed around the water.

"Okay, well I'm starting to get itchy now.'' Eddie started. "And I'm pretty sure it's not good for me.''

''Do you use the same bathroom as your mother?" Richie asked.

''Sometimes, yeah.''

''Then you probably have crabs.''

''That's so not funny.''

"Stop being an ass." Cassie signed still griping onto bill.

Richie turned since Eddie and Stan stood there like a statue. "Aren't you guys coming in?" Richie asked.

"Nuh-uh, that's grey water." Eddie seriously hated dirty places.

"What the hells grey water?"

''It's basically—piss and shit. So I'm just telling you, you guy's are splashing around in millions of gallons of Derry pee.'' Eddie gagged.

Richie took it upon himself to lift up a stick, and bringing it to his nose.

Eddie began stuttering. ''Are you? Are you serious? What are you—''

''Doesn't smell like caca to me Señor.'' Richie said.

''Oh-Okay, I can smell that from here.''

''It's probably just your breath, wafting back into your face.'' Richie insulted.

Eddie let out a frustrated sigh, ''Have you ever heard of a staph infection?"

''Oh! I'll show you a staph infection,'' Richie taunted, throwing a plastic bag towards Eddie who yelped.

"GUYS!" Cassie interrupted the two's bickering pointing at bill who was shining a flashlight on a white shoe.

"Shit- don't tell me that's.." Stan said his voice cracking.

"No." Bill said. "Georgie wore galoshes."

"Whose sneaker is it?" Eddie asked.

Cass inspected the shoe, and saw B. Ripsom on the side. "Betty Ripsom's.''

''Shit.'' Eddie cursed. ''Shit, oh god, oh fuck! I don't like this.''

''How do you think Betty feels?" Richie interrupted. "Running around these tunnels with only one freaking shoe."

"Richie not the time..."

Splash!!

The group of five all turned to see a boy covered in mud and dirt. "Holy shit what happened to you!" Richie said moving a tree branch.

"For once I agree." Cass nodded.
