The start of something new

Chapter 9

Mason pulled onto his street and pulled up in the driveway. He enters the house to find most of his fathers things boxed up
"What's all this ?, why was I taken out of school? " Mason questions
Alise answers " Mason ... As you know Your father and I have been having relationship troubles the past couple of years and ... We thought it'd be best for us to get a divorce "
Mason sits down with his head in his hands "b-but ..w-what about all the stories... The memories.... The first date "
Alise replies " those are all past memories .... It's time to make new ones "

Mason gets up and storms out of the house and drives to the soccer field where his team is playing. Mason quickly gets changed and begins to warm up his mindset on the occurrences of today. The game kicks off and his team go down by a goal in the first few minutes over the course of the game Mason is playing worse than he usually does. It's obvious that there's something wrong his team pull a goal back and it goes into half time level. The teams go into the dressing rooms where the managers give their team talks. Both teams reemerge from the tunnels but Mason is still nowhere to be seen.
The fourth official holds up the substitution board signifying Mason was subbed off.

Mason proceeds straight home and up to his room opening his laptop and emails Erin
- hey Baby girl I know your probably busy or asleep .... So email me back when your free-
Mason sits up all night waiting for a email back and around 11pm she emails him back
- hey how are you ?-
He continues talking to her for 4 hours not telling her about the news, Mason goes asleep and the next morning he gets up and goes to school where everyone begins to give out about his team drawing the game last night. The day passes by quite fast
First math, then chemistry followed by Spanish and finally history. In none of which Mason participated fully. The school bell rings to signify the end of the school day
