Dear Lina,

Thank you for finding out what was going on with Harry. Bloody hell, I wasn't expecting all of that.

Now, I have a plan. I know you won't be happy about it, but I'm going to do it anyway.

I am going to rescue Harry from that awful lot. Here's the plan. I am going to use my Dad's car to fly over to the Dursleys.

Love,
Ron.

Emmalina furrowed her eyebrows, rereading the lines again and again. Use his Dad's car to fly over to the Dursleys? How could he do that? She doubted Ron knew how to drive a car or what a car even was.

She hurried to write a letter, her letters turning more and more loopy, demanding to know what the hell Ron was about. Just as she let out Hestia, Ron's family owl landed on her desk. Her eyebrows furrowed; wondering how on earth Ron could reply so quickly, she unrolled the parchment.

Dear Emmalina,

Hermione here. I am so confused at the moment. I got Ron's letter, rambling about how he would 'rescue' Harry. How ludicrous it sounds. I thought maybe you know what it means.  Please convince Ron not to go through with his plans. I'm so worried.

P.S. You left your bracelet at the restaurant. I will give it to you when we meet to shop for books.

Love,
Hermione.

Emmalina furrowed her eyebrows. If Ron had also written to Hermione, it meant that he was dead serious with this whole thing. She was sure her heart dropped to her stomach.

God, she was sure that she had never wanted to murder Ron Weasley more.

Emmalina folded up the letters in her lap—Parvati's and Lavender's, all gushing about their break. Parvati had gone back to India and had been ranting about how backwards the country seemed in comparison to London, and Lavender was raving on about Italy, the architecture, and the food.

She went downwards, her stomach still flipping at the thought of what Ron was doing or trying to do. Before she could enter the kitchen, she heard the wisps of a conversation between her mother and father.

". . . because she is different. She might feel alienated," Meera spoke.

"I know she's a witch but. . ."

"Not only that."

Her parents shared a meaningful glance.

"I wonder how Ophelia feels." Meera made a large sign but immediately froze when Emmalina entered the kitchen.
