ITS BEEN FIVE MONTHS SINCE ELEANOR PRICE CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD. five months since captain man went on the news and stated that they found eleanor. he told the public tom light had kidnapped her, nothing else. captain man also, in addition to saving eleanor, he decided to let her stay around and live in the man cave. that didn't stop eleanor from practically spending the night at henry's every day, but ray didn't mind. he hadn't seen henry so happy in over a year, and henry was like a son to him.
eleanor and henry were complicated- did they have intense feelings for each other? yes. were they both scared to get in a relationship? yes. they didn't have jon to worry about now, however. they decided to take it slow, don't rush into things. after all, eleanor was supposedly dead for a year.
eleanor walked into school, her eyes down at her phone. after pulling a few strings, ray managed to make eleanor a senior even if she missed a year of school. she also learned how to drive within a week, so she could drive herself around. it was like eleanor never left. she tried to forget tom and what she went through with him, he was dead. he wasn't going to hurt her anymore. it didn't stop henry and eleanor looking over their shoulders when they were in public, afraid he would be watching them.
"eleanor!" taylor love exclaimed, running up to the girl and hugging her. she did it almost every day, yell eleanor's name and hug her. taylor and eleanor were best friends since birth, apparently christine was friends with taylor's mom. eleanor and taylor had a falling out before eleanor disappeared, but when she came back they figured it out. "you'll never guess what happened!"
eleanor walked alongside her best friend, "what?" she asked. eleanor smiled at jasper and charlotte as she walked by, "hey gang."
"hey el!"
eleanor walked to her locker, opening it up quickly. taylor leaned on the locker next to her, "jason is back!? remember him, the weird shy kid, well he isn't weird or shy anymore." eleanor looked over at taylor slowly.
"hm?"
"jason's back!" taylor exclaimed, "he's so dreamy now."
eleanor gave her a fake smile before taylor gasped, causing eleanor to turn around. jason was walking straight towards them, fuck. eleanor quickly grabbed her books and slammed her locker shut, pushing past taylor. she did not needed to be reminded of that day. to be honest, eleanor completely forgot jason existed. "el! where are you-"
"hey els." henry bumped into eleanor, causing her to jump. "woah, its just me."
eleanor grabbed on henry's hand, pulling him into the janitors closet. she shut the door behind her, her eyes wide. henry immediately could tell something was wrong, his eyes immediately filling with concern. he put his hand on her shoulder, as eleanor put a hand to her chest. she didn't know why she was freaking out. she tried to forget everything happened months prior, but seeing him made everything come back. "i can't breathe."
