Hey everyone, um I have some unfortunate news that I need to share. This is about my upcoming Skylanders sequel story called The Story Continues. It has been in the writing process for more than two years now, and last November of 2023, I promised that the first half of season 4 would be published in 2024. It is currently December 2024, just a few weeks before the New Year, and unfortunately, the story is not currently ready to be published.
The reason for this is due to a multitude of reasons. School, college applications, my personal life, and my motivation to write but a big reason for the story's delayed progress is the idea of Season 4 continuing to grow beyond my expectations. Initially, my plan for Season 4 was to have 15 episodes but that idea shifted from 15 to 19 episodes, and as I continue to write the upcoming episodes, I realize I may need to add two or three more episodes to fit the pacing of the season totaling a possible number of 21 or 22 episodes, the most episodes I've written for a season in any book. It's a lot, I know, I tried to find some episodes to cut out or maybe somehow recycle them for a later season but I couldn't.
What I'm basically saying from all this is that The Story Continues will no longer be published in 2024, and instead, it will be pushed back into Early 2025, what I mean by early is the story will now be hopefully released in January or February, or maybe even March. I am truly sorry for the delay and I truly hope you all understand why I have to do this.
Writing The Story Continues has been a labor of love, and I want to ensure that the story will meet the standards I've set for myself and make sure that it will deliver the story you all deserve. Delaying its release was not an easy decision, but I believe it's the right one to give this project the time and care it needs.
