Morgana jumped down onto the lower roof, opening the window with practiced ease. She was surprisingly quiet for a woman with a wooden leg.
She crept towards her father's bedroom door and snuck inside. She looked around in the darkness before finally, Morgana's eyes locked onto the sleeping form of her father.
Thanks to her father's heavy sleeping, Morgana was able to carry him down into the bakehouse, where she dropped him.
He awoke with a grunt and glared up at Morgana. "What are you doing, girl?" He tried to stand up, but Morgana knocked him back down.
Morgana wasted no time in ripping his left leg away from his pelvis. Tearing skin and ripping bone from cartilage. The anguished scream he let out was wretched, but it turned to a pitiful squeak as he saw the rage in Morgana's eyes.
"How does it feel, father?" Morgana spat out the word as if it was venom on her tongue. "How does it feel to be reduced to nothing?"
Morgana glanced over at Daciana before carrying the leg over to the butcher block. "Would you mind watching him, Daci? Just, making sure he doesn't get up... or bleed out."
"I cannot guarantee the second," Daciana said quietly, watching the man closely from her spot in the corner of the room.
Morgana swiftly butchered the leg, still warm from her father's blood flowing through it only moments before. She rolled out a pie crust and formed it in a dish. She had done this every day. It was practically muscle memory. She threw the chunks of meat into the grinder and finished the pie.
When she took it out of the oven, she looked back to check that her father was still conscious, she barely waited for her creation to cool before she threw it in front of him.
"You want your leg back? Here it is. Hot from the oven." Morgana said darkly.
"I'll give you a choice," she continued, "You can eat it, and I'll make your death quick, or I can make it as slow as possible."
Morgana's father continued to sob, his watery pleas of mercy falling upon deaf ears.
"Five... four... three..." Morgana counted down, her voice mocking.
She laughed as he tried to bite into the pie, but spat it out.
"Too late!" She sang, walking to the oven and scooping up several embers with a shovel...
Morgana's eyes burned with resentment as she dumped the hot coals onto his head. She waited until they cooled before slamming the shovel onto his head, looking at Daci, and quickly bringing her out of the basement.
She broke down into tears on the cobblestone. "I'm free..."
