Jason: That’s how you do it, you little shit! Perfect execution!
James: What a shot, man! That’s how you make a statement! He didn't know what to do!
Marcus, who went near the corner to see me, was grinning as he patted me on the back.
Marcus: You, good sir, are going places. Keep this up, and you’ll be headlining in no time.
Blue: You really think so?
Marcus: Of course, you better put me on any of your undercards though
Blue: Say less, G!
As I stood in the center of the ring, the referee raised my hand, and the announcer made it official.
Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen! The referee has put a halt to this contest in the third round, your winner by knockout! Blue The Smoke Seeker Light!
I soaked in the moment, the cheers, the energy, everything. This was what I worked for. This was just the beginning....
As soon as the fight ended, I walked over to check on David. He was sitting on his stool, the medics making sure he was okay. He looked up at me, a faint smile on his face, and extended his glove.
David: Kid, I was wrong, you’re the future of this sport. Keep your head on straight, and you’ll go far.
I leaned down and hugged him, patting him on the back.
Blue: Thank you, man. That means a lot coming from you. You’re a legend, and it was an honor to share the ring with you, even if it isn't the prime you
David nodded, and I stepped back to let him have his space. The crowd was still baffled as the interviewer approached me with a mic, a big grin on his face.
Interviewer: Blue, congratulations on an incredible performance and a highlight reel knockout! First off, tell us, what was the game plan coming into this fight?
Blue: The plan was simple, really. Stay patient, break him down, and wait for my openings. David’s got experience for days, so rushing in would’ve been really stupid. I just trusted my corner, trusted myself, and executed. Trust The Process is what I say
Interviewer: And that execution paid off big time. How does it feel to get such a vicious knockout, especially against someone as seasoned as David Spence?
Blue: Honestly, it feels unreal. I mean, you dream of moments like this, right? But to actually do it? Madness. The man’s a warrior, look at his resume, but I just stayed focused and took my chance when it came. Feels good, man. Feels real good.
Interviewer: You were the underdog coming into this fight, with many betting against you. How does it feel to upset the odds like this?
Blue: Wait? Really? Hah! Serves them right!
The crowd laughed and cheered at that, and the interviewer nodded, clearly enjoying my answer.
Interviewer: One last question, what’s next for you, Blue? Where do you go from here?
Blue: What’s next? Hmm....well, first, a big meal. I’ve been starving myself for this fight, and I need about five meals man. But in all seriousness, I’ll leave it to my team. Whoever they put in front of me next, I’ll be ready. Just gonna keep working, keep improving. One step at a time.
The crowd erupted into applause as the interviewer shook my hand.
Interviewer: Congratulations again, Blue. You’ve got a bright future ahead!
I nodded, grinning as I turned back toward my corner. Jason, James, Marcus, and Adam were waiting for me with huge smiles, and I couldn’t help but feel proud.
