Love in Hell

I jumped from the back of the truck, holding my M4 and keeping it close as I watched the newcomers. I walked to the side of the plane and Jennifer pulled my mask down to give me a kiss. We had gotten much closer since Drake's passing, and had even 'slept' together on multiple occasions.

"Alright, so who exactly are you two?" Josh questioned.

"I'm Kraig Robertson and this is my sister, Amy."

I looked around, noticing that Sadie and Tessa were missing; I turned to Jenn and whispered "Where's Sadie and Tes?"

"Cockpit." She whispered back.

My mind shot through ideas and seemed set on one that had been coming through as more and more prevalent.

"Alex, you can relax." Josh told me, then watched as I shouldered my M4; "Alright, everyone help me get this unloaded."

We had found plenty of empty hard cases that held a lot of supplies, that's where we'd been storing everything for the last month or so.

We unloaded the truck, then raised the ramp and started the plane. After making the extremely over sized five point turn, we were able to take off. Every so often we'd stop at an airfield and try to refuel the plane. We'd been able to keep the tanks high on fuel for a long while and Sadie and I had become masters of what the plane had to offer.

We took off from that air strip and flew East, towards California.

"All passengers are asked to keep yourselves fastened down until I give the clear order due to turbulence; we should be out of it soon." I told them like a transportation pilot, "So, I assume you and Tessa had a good time?"

She turned away and blushed as I said this, "I- I don't know what y-you're talking about."

"Mhmm... alright, we should arrive in a few hours at this speed. You go get some rest, I'll call if I need you."

She nodded, avoiding eye contact as she left the cockpit and down into the cargo hold.

The climb to a height of about seventeen thousand feet took a few minutes as I pushed the aircraft. Not pushing to the max, the max height was about thirty-six thousand feet; at least for the C-5M's it was.

After the turbulence calmed itself I gave the all clear. I could hear what sounded like power tools working in the cargo hold, but had no idea what was going on.

The group had grown much closer, seeming to become a family; a very strange family. With two relationships going on inside of it, and possibly more that no one knows of. But I was always the last to know about these things, and it almost seemed like Josh had become the father of our twisted family.

Nothing got passed around without him knowing.

"Busy?" I heard Jenn ask from the doorway.

"Not really, what's on your mind?" I replied, switching on the autopilot to fly in a straight line.

"Well, I was curious a few days ago... and I used one of the pregnancy tests..."

My mind halted at those two words, "And...?"

"It said that I was pregnant!" She started cheering.

I nearly jumped out of my seat as I reached my arms around her; honestly I wasn't sure how I felt... We had used protection to avoid this, but it still made me happy. I was a father.

"Yes!" I nearly shouted.

"Okay, listen. No one else knows about this, so I wont spread it. If you want to, you can, but I wont."

"I wont either."

She turned to walk out.

"Jenn?"

"Yeah Alex?"

"I love you."

She replied by pecking me on the cheek.

Okay, so short parts are short. Whatever. They again will get longer. The first two in Ch 6 are more just filling the readers in on what has happened.

Comment on if I got facts wrong about shit and I'll try to fix it.
