Stell took his time climbing the stairs. Turn around then walked down the completely empty hallway, humming to a song.
Upon arriving at his destination, he peered around. His shoulder suddenly slumped, disappointment clouding his features seeing the vacant room.
It had been almost a week since he hasn't seen his boyfriend, as they were both busy with school.
Tutal naman ay kakatapos lang ng exam nila kaya nagpasya siya na puntahan ito upang surpresahin.
The male let out a long sigh, spun on his heel and was about to leave. When his eyes caught someone at the farthest corner.
He hadn’t seen him at first, hidden behind a pile of papers on the desk.
Stell noticed the stoic expression on his face, along with his furrowed eyebrows and that intimidating frown he wears so well.
I stood at the door for a second, just admiring this handsome man. Before tapping gently on the door.
Pablo was buried deep in papers. A light tap, almost hesitant, made his ears perk up. He glanced up from his work, a slight furrow deepening between his brows.
For the next few seconds, silence enveloped them, a fragile peace hanging in the air thick with unspoken emotions.
He rose, smoothing down the wrinkles in his crisp shirt, a gesture that betrayed a hint of nervousness beneath his usual composed exterior.
Then, with quick, almost frantic steps, Pablo crossed the room. He stopped at the threshold, and the sight that greeted him stole his breath away.
His gaze meeting Stell. Stell's smile, bright and disarming, instantly softened the stern lines etched on he's face.
"Babe," Stell said, his voice a warm counterpoint to the cool atmosphere of the study. He held a bag, intricately wrapped package. "I brought you lunch."
Pablo’s frown finally melted, replaced by a softer, more vulnerable expression. "Hindi ka na dapat nag-abala pa," he murmured, his voice filled with affection.
"Nonsense," Stell said, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.
The study, usually a sanctuary of quiet concentration, felt suddenly alive with a vibrant of energy.
"I know how you get when you're buried in work. Besides," he added, his eyes twinkling, "I wanted to see you."
Pablo's frown finally melted, replaced by a softer, more vulnerable expression. .He handed Pablo the package. The scent of sinigang, Pablo’s favorite, wafted from within.
The silence that followed wasn't awkward; it was comfortable, filled with unspoken understanding. They stood close, the space between them charged with unspoken emotions. Stell reached out, gently brushing a stray strand of hair from Pablo's forehead.
"Did you have lunch?" Stell asked, his gaze warm and perceptive.
Pablo shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. The aroma of the food Stell had brought, still lingering in the air, was enough to soothe his frayed nerves.
The long hours spent hunched over papers had left him exhausted and slightly irritable, but Stell's presence, and the promise of a delicious meal, was a balm to his soul.
Pablo leaned into the touch, his stoicism melting away completely. The simple gesture, the unspoken concern in Stell’s eyes, broke through the layers of fatigue and stress that had accumulated throughout the day.
