"Pix," coming back here was a mistake. You had no business coming back home, and having all these emotions bubbling up at the surface. So much was left undone, and it should have stayed that way.
"Pixie!" You just want to lay here on the ice, in the cold. You didn't deserve the happiness that was right here. You've failed so many times with Tanzy. You kept her away from her family. And now you're in a weird living hell.
"Pixie!!" Johnny was right when he said you were an ice princess. Without emotions. You weren't meant to be a mom, and raise a kid. Your own biological parents gave you up for adoption, and you never got over that. You thought you could make a difference with Tanzy. It's what she deserved, but what if you didn't deserve her? What made you think you could raise a child? "I'm calling an ambulance."
"No," you croak out. If anyone deserved to know the entire story, it was the man that is gently slapping at your face. Of all the things that's happened in your life, you regret your time with him the least. Your secretive time that nobody knew about it. It was like he was yours, and you were his. How the hell did you get involved with both brothers' friends? "Johnny, I'm fine."
"You fainted in my arms, and you want me to believe you're fine?" It would be easier if he did. He could just pretend that whatever conversation was beginning to happen beforehand never actually happened. Even if Johnny wasn't fully understanding, he's curious about what is going on. Of course he is. "What did you eat today?"
"Uhh," you blink your eyes open, and he still maintains a concerned look towards you. He doesn't hate you. Never has. He's never looked at you the way that Raleigh has; with so much disdain that you wonder if Raleigh was trying to parent you. Being older than you did not mean that you wanted someone in control of you, "I don't..."
"Okay, lets get some food in you," this man wants to take care of you before he hears your truth. He doesn't have to be kind to you, but he always has been. You can even see the fear in his eyes, but he's just worried about your well being. People never have seen Johnny like you have, "You can't just refuse to eat, you know? You're an athlete, you're better than this."
"Do you really think I'm an ice princess?" he sighs. Holding up a finger, he skates over to the bleachers, and pulls up his coat. Reaching into the pocket he grabs a protein bar, and comes back. Holding it out to you. "I don't want that."
"Then let's go round something up in the concession stand," you didn't want that either. "Pix, you've gotta eat, and we've gotta talk," rolling your eyes, you take a bite of the bar, glaring at him. "You know I called you that when we were young because you were a figure skater."
