"Piper!!"
I look over at Jake who's sprawled out across my floor throwing a soccer ball up in the air taping it with his foot and re catching it with impressive speed.
"What do you think she wan-"
"Piper?!?" My aunt yells through the house again and I groan very loudly and unlady like walking to the door. There's no since in yelling back she will only pretend to not hear me until I go down and talk to her.
I get halfway down before I smell her apple pie baking. Now Aunt Mary loves to bake, its her passion but considering mine and Jakes high athletic lifestyle choices she rarely ever does because neither one of us has any self control. So when she does decide to bake there is normally a reason.
"What's up Aunt Mary?" I try and sound nonchalant as I slide into the bar stool at the counter. Maybe she doesn't know about the incident at school yet.
"Don't look at me that way. Yes of course I know what happened at school"
Yes. Of course. I have to bite the side of my mouth to keep my eyes from rolling. The woman knows everything.
"But we've got things to do so we will talk about that at dinner young lady. First however we are getting new neighbors across the street so we are going to take this pie over there and welcome them." She said pulling the pie out of the oven and creating the perfect little cuts on top before continuing. "There looks to be a boy your age I want you to offer him a ride to school tomorrow so that you can show him around." She gives me a pointed look "and be polite. "
"You say that as though I am not usually polite Auntie Mary. Besides why not have Jake go, you know guy bonding and all that." I cross my fingers under the table hoping she will change her mind.
"Nope. You should've thought about it before your behavior at school today Piper. I know it's been a bit since you've been in the ring but that's no excuse for-"
"I know" I cut her off before she continues. My aunt hates me boxing because it dangerous and since I've been out for two weeks I have been rather antsy, working out with Jake and the mild gymnastics my coaches are allowing me to do are not even close enough to the aggression I am used to working out during my boxing sessions. "She did deserve to be tripped though" I mumble leaving the room to throw my hair up in a bun and running back upstairs to change into more appropriate attire for meeting the new neighbors. I highly doubt spandex shorts and a sports bra is first introduction attire.
"Alright Jake out out I have to go meet the new neighbors" I say taping him with my foot into his side causing him to drop his phone right on his face
"Ow Fuc-"
"Langue!" My Aunt yells from my door way and we both look up to meet her stern gaze "Jake out! Piper put on some clothes I want to go while the pie is still warm"
"Okay okay" I raise my hands in the air in a mocking gesture walking over to my drawer.
"Mom you made pie for them? Tell me that you made one for here to???" Jake whines making his way out the door with a pout on his face. She ruffled Jakes blonde hair before smacking him on the back of the head.
"I absolutely did not. I know what you did in school today too so no. Now go shower you smell awful" My aunt despite her being angry with us looked at us both lovingly before heading back down the stairs.
I pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of jean shorts to throw on. Here goes nothing.

"You look like a mess Piper. Didn't you hear me a boy your age is moving in across the street, you could have put in more effort"
