The next day was sunny and the kids were excited to go to the amusement park and had a picnic afterwards.
They arrived early and started to pick their favorite ride and moved around quickly – followed by their fathers.
Lan Wangji had bought a couple of GPS tracker bracelets and put them on the kids so that they would not get lost – although Wei Wuxian at first declined the expensive gifts.
“It’s for Jingyi’s birthday gift, and also it makes it easier to track your kid.” Lan Wangji wouldn’t take a no and set the tracker app on Wei Wuxian’s phone. “If they move out of the range we set, the phone will send you a notification. Isn’t it convenient?”
“It… is.” Wei Wuxian admitted that he liked the gift that Lan Wangji gave his son since he was thinking of buying one before because Jingyi… Well, Jingyi was being Jingyi.
“Thank you Mr. Lan.” He finally conceded.
“Lan Zhan.”
“Pardon?”
“Call me Lan Zhan. After all, our sons are best friends.” Lan Wangji gave Wei Wuxian a smile and the latter almost fell down on the road from surprise.
That man was very handsome when he stood still with his cold aura, but when he smiled… he looked like a god.
But Wei Wuxian quickly composed himself since this was not appropriate and they were with their kids after all.
“Then, you should call me Wei Ying, since we’re going to meet each other soon. I mean, obviously the kids would want to have playdates, so we should take turns.” He quickly explained before Lan Wangji mistook his words for… something else.
Not that he would mind, but then again, this was just their second meeting and he should not have sinful thoughts in front of their kids!
But when Lan Wangji softly spoke his name, like he was referring to a deity, Wei Wuxian couldn’t help but blush hard.
“Wei Ying.”
His voice was lower than usual, and it caused Wei Wuxian to suddenly have… thoughts. Thankfully he heard Jingyi called his name and he shook the thoughts out of his mind and started to pay attention to his troublemaker son.
“Dad! We want to ride that!” Jingyi pointed at the rollercoaster and Wei Wuxian saw Lan Wangji frowned.
“I don’t think you will be able to, unless you’re at least 120cm tall.” He ruffled Jingyi’s head and the boy pouted since he knew that he hadn't reached the required height yet. “Why don’t we ride that instead?” Wei Wuxian pointed at the Space Mountain ride and Jingyi’s face lightened up as he dragged Xiao Yuan with him to the queue.
“You don’t have to queue since I bought you the VIP pass.” Wei Wuxian chuckled and pointed at their wrist. “Once a year.” He whispered to Lan Wangji who smiled at their enthusiasm.
He had never been to an amusement park before, and this was the first time for him – although he was not impressed by the sheer amount of people there.
He already wore a cap and a mask to cover his lower face, but with his tall stature and his star aura, some people seemed to recognize him and ask for his autograph and pictures, and it added to Wei Wuxian’s admiration of him.
“I’m sorry about that.” Lan Wangji apologized to Wei Wuxian since it took a bit of time for him to finish the fan service, and Wei Wuxian decided to take the kids to the ride first.
“It’s fine, I understand that you are very famous! And I am rpud to be your friend.” Right after the words left his mouth, Wei Wuxian wanted to slap his mouth. Were they friends? They were just single parents whose kids were best friends.
But then Lan Wangji chuckled lightly.
“Friends, huh? I’d like that.” He looked directly into Wei Wuxian’s eyes and held his gaze. “I’ve never had any friends before, but I’d like you to be mine.”
Sure Wei Wuxian knew that he meant to be his friend but his heart skipped a beat when he saw the golden orbs and blushed some more.
“Yes, sure. Friends. This is my first time being friends with someone famous too, haha.” Wei Wuxian chuckled nervously as he was so nervous, but then the kids finished their ride and complained that they were hungry, so they went to the picnic area to have early lunch.
