The darkest days

I lay in the grass slowly and I look at the clouds in the night sky,wishing that I
was laying on them.They were deciding
the fate of the boy tonight,and I wanted nothing to do with it.I
hear the door slam from the farm house and I look up a little bit
seeing Dale walking away from the house with his rifle.I
lay back down and I sigh.As soon as my eyes closed I heard
a bloodcurdling yell and I shot up and started running to the source,I see
the others crowd around as I push past them and I look down to see
whats going on."Oh god." I let out in a gasp as I drop onto my knees and I hold onto
Dale's hand."No." I say and tears streaming down my face."No." I just keep
repeating the word until I feel a pair of arms pick me up and whisper,"Sorry brother."
BAM!
I cling onto Daryl and I cry so much that he takes me
back to his little camping area,away from everyone else.
I start to punch his chest and he just stands there taking
the blows until I decide to collapse down to the ground.
"Hey,You're not weak,I know you aren't, so get up on your
feet and look at me." I hear his gruff voice whisper.I shake
my head and I stay there."Hey." He says crouching and looking
at me."We've been through hell and back,together and
not together.We can pull through." He says holding his hand out and helping
me stand."I can do this." I whisper to myself and he nods,wiping my tears away.
"Why are you doing this? Interacting...with me." I ask and he shrugs.
"I knew this would affect you,he was a good man.I noticed how
you looked up to him,The father you never had." He says in a gruff tone and I look up at him.
his head was bowed down,"Your hair has gotten shaggy." I state,
reaching up slowly and I run my fingers through it gently as
if he would run away.He nods his head and he starts to pick at his fingers.
"It looks good on you." I say and he looks up with confusion in his eyes.
"If you think I'm still not attracted to you,You're insane." I
say fixing the collar of his shirt before taking a deep breath and  walking away.

They were everywhere...Walkers.
It was absolute chaos.I started to sprint around the huge crowds
and I stopped for a moment to shoot a couple,"Glenn!"
I scream as walker comes towards me and Glenn swerves the car over,thank god he was close.
"Get in!" He yells shooting the gangly rotter and It fell lifelessly to the ground.
I stumble when I get up and I throw myself into the car.I prop the shotgun
outside of the window and I started to shoot whenever we would
stop."We need to get out of here. Now!" I yell at
Maggie and Glenn and He punches on the gas heading to the main road.
"Did you see Daryl?" I ask and Maggie shakes her head but from a far I can hear the rumble of
a motorcycle and soon it passes us and I let out a sigh of relief.
Soon we get to the highway and I hop out of the car and I sprint towards Daryl,
hopping up and wrapping my self around him like a kuala
"You scared me when you took off." I mumble into his neck and he chuckles,
"Well,I'm alive ain't I?" he asks and I hop off of him.
I hear a door open from one of the abandoned cars and I turn around.
"M-Mommy?" I hear a shaky voice ask and I freeze looking at her and tears spring from my
eyes."GoGo?" I ask and She walks closer."Oh my god!" I cry out and
I run over to her and I fall to my knees holding her frail body
against mine "Oh baby." I say running a hand over her wild hair.
I bury my face into my neck as I let out tears."I'm so sorry."
I say to her as she grips on to me."I missed you Mommy."
She says crying and I stand up with her in my arms,I walk back to Daryl
just as he picks up his crossbow."Bigger the roads,more assholes,like this one."
He says walking closer to the walker,"I got him." He says aiming at it and shooting it right in the eye.
I hear Margot whimpering and I rub her back."It's okay." I say shushing her soothingly.
"We need to leave,just start the cars and go." I say breaking the silence and Rick nods
his head."Alright everyone lets group up and get into cars." He says and
I walk over to the cherokee and I sit Margot down in the
back before I hop in."I'm here." I say to her as she clings to me,"Here,eat something."
I say giving her some jerky and she devours
it like she hasn't eaten in days,"Water." I say handing it to her
and she takes a couple of sips before curling up in my lap and she eventually fell asleep along with me.

"Hey get up,we ran out of gas."I hear T's voice rang through
my grogginess,I nod my head and I climb out of the car with Margot
clinging to my side."You out?" Daryl asks and I nod my head."Running on fumes."
Rick says jogging up to the rest of us,"We can't stay here."
Maggie says,worried. I walk over to Daryl and Margot looks up at
him and to me.She hides behind me more,afraid of Daryl.
"We can't all fit in one car." I say rubbing Margot's shoulder.
"We'll have to run for some gas in the morning."
Rick says and I nod my head.I feel and tugging on my
jacket and I look down at Margot."I'm cold."
She says and I bite my lip. As soon as I was about to take my jacket off,Daryl
pulls out a poncho from his saddle bag and wraps it
around her."Thank you." I say and he nods."Spend the night here?"
Carol asks and I look over to see Carl shivering too."I'm freezing."
He says looking at Rick,"We'll build a fire,yeah?"
Lori asks Rick as He gives Carl his jacket.
"You go out looking for fire wood,stay close." Daryl say
to the group and I look over to him,He's changed.
"Only got so many arrows.How you doing on ammo."
I ask Rick after making that comment towards Daryl.
"Not enough." Rick says,"We can't just sit here
with our Asses hanging out." Maggie says
getting frustrated ,"Watch your mouth.Everyone stop panicking
and listen to Rick." Hershel says looking at her with a stern look.
"Alright,we'll set up a perimeter.In the morning we'll find
and some supplies.We'll keep pushing on." He says looking down the road.
"Glenn and I can go now,try and scrounge up some gas" Maggie pushes.
"No,we stay together." I pipe up,holding Margot against my body to keep her
skinny body warm."God forbid something happens and people get stranded
with out a car." Rick says looking over to her and She just sighs.
"Rick,we're stranded now." Glenn says pointing out our situation.
"I know it looks bad,we've all been through hell and worse,but at least
we found each other." Rick says looking at Glenn with a serious expression
"I wasn't sure--I really wasn't--But we did.We're together.We keep it that way" He says looking at us
with hope and determination in his voice.
"We'll find shelter somewhere.There's gotta be a place." he says
backing up to be in the center for everyone to see him.
"Rick,look around.Okay? There's walkers everywhere.
There migrating or something."
I say starting to lose hope."There's gotta be a place
not just where we hole up,but that we fortify,
hunker down,pull ourselves together,Build a life for each other.I know it's out there,
we just have to find it" He says getting
in my face a little bit but then he backs up and I let out
a shaky breath. Remembering my dad at that moment.
"Even if we do find a place and we think it's safe,we can never be sure.
For how long? Look what happened to the farm.We fooled
ourselves into thinking that that was safe." She says looking to Rick.
"We won't make that mistake again." Hershel speaks up.
"We'll make camp tonight over there." Rick mutters pointing at the stone structure.
"Get on the road at the break of day." He says turning his back on us.
"Do you think this is right?" Carol asks Daryl and he shrugs."What if another
group like Randall's comes through?" Beth asks Rick and He looks down to her but before
he could respond Daryl steps up."You know I found Randall,right?" He
asks Rick before going on."He had turned,but he wasn't bit."
Daryl says looking at Rick before looking back to me."How's that possible?" I ask Rick and this look
came across his face like he has seen a ghost."Rick,What the hell happened?" Lori asked coming up behind him.
"Shane killed Randall." Daryl sneers,"Just like he always wanted to." I say and Margot clings onto me tighter.
"Mommy,I'm scared." She says quietly and I pick her up."It'll be alright baby." I say hushing her.
"And then the herd got him?" Lori asks and rick just has a solemn
gaze."We're all infected." He says gruffly and my breath hitches.
"Jesus." I say with a shaky voice,"What?" Daryl asks getting closer to me."At the C.D.C. ,Jenner told me. What ever it is,We all carry it." He says looking at everyone."And you never said anything?" Carol asks and I  hold Margot closer to me,"Would it have made a difference?" He asks her and I shake my head."You knew this whole time?" Glenn asks with a shaky voice."How could I have known for sure?
You saw how crazy that mo--" I cut Rick off putting Margot down."That wasn't your call!" I yell at him.
"Okay,when I found out about the walkers in the barn,I told,for the good of everyone."
Glenn says putting it forward."Well,I thought it best that people didn't know."
He says looking at us and he turns to start walking towards where we were
setting up camp."Come on baby." I say taking her and and we go to the side of the road,finding
twigs.I turn around to see Carl talking to Margot and I smile,until I see her
fall to the ground."Daryl!" I yell for him as I fall to my knees next to her,holding her.
"Please baby,wake up." I say trying to get her up.Daryl comes up behind me and scoops her up,"Hershel!" He yells and
Daryl runs over to him with myself right behind him."Please god." I say balling my fists up and putting it to my forehead.
"She'll be okay,She just passed out from exhaustion and most likely dehydration."
He says reassuring me."Thank you!" I running over to her.
"Hey,I got er'." I hear Daryl Behind me and I look at him as he picks her up,re-wrapping her in
the poncho."Hey," I say quietly,grabbing one of his belt loops."I appreciate what your doing."
I say looking up at him and he nods.We both start
walking towards the stone structure since it started to get
dark and everyone followed.We eventually got a fire started and I had Margot sitting in my lap
to keep me warm,I decided to sit away from the group and stay right up against the wall. "mom?" I hear her little voice wake up and I look down to her,"Hi sweety." I say smiling
as best as I could,I looked up to see Rick giving a very harsh speech and I look back down to her,
"Every thing will be just fine." I say running my fingers through her hair and she starts to nod
off again.I hear someone sit next to me and I sigh."What are we gonna do Dare."
I ask and I hear him sigh,"I don' know." he says quietly and I look over to him.
We were so close that are noses could touch,I turn my head a little bit and I look into his eyes.
I lean in all of the way and I feel him kiss back softly "I-I don't want to be alone Daryl." I whisper
to him and rests his forehead against mine."I'm here,for both of y'all."
he says and he captures my lips in another slow kiss.
"Get sum' sleep." He says wrapping an arm around me and I curl into
his side with Margot in between us.
