I stayed curled up in a tiny ball, dreading the moment Wilde and Krill would come back next. It's been a few days since I've been kidnapped, and I haven't eaten anything. They barely gave me a sip of water. They only gave me enough water to keep me alive.

My wrists also felt sore from being tied behind my back. My clothes were covered in a lot of blood and had rips from all the beatings I took. I just wish everything would end. I looked forward to when I would finally be put out of my misery.

I froze, hearing footsteps. Soon the door opened, revealing Wilde. I didn't bother trying to make sound, being gagged and all. Plus it was no use because my mouth was mostly dry anyways.

"Ready to talk yet? Have you come to your senses?" Wilde ask. I shook my head. I would never reveal information that could possibly hurt my family.... not after I got my father back. Not after I met my amazing stepmother and amazing stepsister.

"I suppose that means the time for you to die has come. This was your last chance" Wilde growled. At that moment, Krill received a call.

"Hello? Oh, hello, sir Kroman!" Krill murmured something, "you need us there right now? We are kind of busy..."

"Do not turn down our boss!" Wilde growled as he snatched the phone from Krill, "I'm sorry, we will be there. Our hostage is to beaten up to run away, plus it'll be difficult anyways, so we don't need to worry. Alright, we will head on over."

Wilde hung up the phone and looked on over to me. "You're in luck. Looks like you will live until tomorrow, so think carefully about your next decision." I watched sleepily as they left.

I was about to doze off, but realized now wasn't the time. I had the perfect opportunity, so I should look for an escape.

With much difficulty, I stood on shake legs and started to wander around a bit. The door was locked from the outside and I didn't have enough strength to kick it down. Then I noticed a small window right above a table.

That might work.... if I could find a way out of this rope. It seemed to start wearing down.

I decided to try and loosen the rope using the corner of the table. It took me about a good hour, but the rope finally came off and I felt free. I could think about my freedom later, I had to worry about getting out of here before they got back.

I climbed onto the table and was relieved to find that the window wasn't very high. I punched the glass so it'd break, not stopping to worry about my bleeding and more damaged knuckles, before immediately pulling myself up.

It was a little high from the ground, but I had no time to waste. Sighing, I let my beaten up body fall onto the ground. I was too weak to even try and land on my feet.

I got up off the ground and started stumbling to the nearest road. Maybe not the safest bet, but it looked like I was in the middle of no where. I sighed and saw an unfamiliar car. I tried to stop it.

"Oh dear!" A man stepped out of the car, "what happened to you?!" He took off the gag that covered my mouth.

"No time to explain..." I wheezed, "could you...could you take me to the nearest convenience store?" At least there I was crowded around people so I should be safe. He nodded.

"What do you think you're doing?" I saw Krill and Wilde, and I was worried. I was almost too late. I quickly ran into the passenger side as he got in.

"Hurry! They're my attackers!" I pleaded. He nodded, pulling out and speeding down the road.

"I'm really sorry, the convenience store is the furthest I can take you. But at least there you will be safe" he said, "I'm sorry to leave you in that state. I'm Kilt. Kilt Johnson."

"I'm Kodi. No, don't be sorry, I'm really grateful for your help. I've been stuck with those guys for a few days now and they were planning on killing me tomorrow" I took a deep breath, "do you have a phone I could borrow to call my brother?"

"Yes, here you go" he handed me his cell phone. It hurt to dial in my brothers number and do anything, but I had to call. I'm lucky to be alive.

"Hello?" My brother answered. He sounded really torn up.

"N-Nathan" I croaked. That caught his attention. I noticed Kilt pulling into the store parking lot.

"Kodi?! Where are you? I will come pick you up right now!" He said, shocked. I got the address from Kilt to the convenience store and gave it to him."I will be right there, then you can tell me all about what happened."

"I can't wait to see you, Nathe" tears threatened to spill. I honestly couldn't wait to be with someone I felt safe with. I was traumatized.

I handed Kilt his phone. "Thank you for letting me borrow this. My brother is on his way."

"No problem. Do you want me to buy you a water?" he asked and I shakily nodded. We got out of the car and walked in. At that moment I didn't care that I was a shaky, injured mess. I wanted water.

When I entered I was shocked to find Cody there. He was with a girl who looked a lot like him, but older.

"C-Cody?" I asked. He looked over at me. Before I could comprehend what was happening, he pulled me into a hug.

"What happened to you, Kodi? I was worried sick" he said. I clung onto him and buried my face in his shoulder. That was all it took for me to start crying, not caring that I had been avoiding Cody.

"I'm lucky I'm alive" I sobbed, "I was kidnapped, and and-"

"Shh, shh" Cody rubbed circles in my back soothingly, "I'm sorry, Kodi. We need to take you to the hospital, you're injured."

"They threatened to kill me, Cody! They were after my family for answers!" I sobbed like a big baby, "I refused to give them some, so they beat me!"

"Kodi?" I pulled away just enough to see my brother was here. I pulled away completely and ran into my brothers arms. He was shocked to see me in that state.

"We need to take you to the hospital" Nathan said, inspecting my injuries. Kilt handed me a paid for bottle of water. I took it and started drinking it gladly.

"Thank you" I mumbled.

"Who's he?" Nathan asked.

"I'm Kilt. Kilt Johnson. I took Kodi here after finding him trying to escape the kidnappers house. We barely made it" he said.

"I'm Nathan, thank you for taking care of my little brother" Nathan hugged me, "let's take you to the hospital now, okay?" I nodded.
