Luca, Val, Enzo, Kat, and Aria all join us in the car, their voices filling the vehicle with laughter and banter. The mood is light now, the tension from before fading away as they discuss their plans for the night. As the cars pull up to the petrol bunk, the group chatters excitedly, plans for the night swirling in the air. Dante glances at me, his eyes taking on a hint of mischief in the dim light. Everybody get out of the car including us and Luca yells suddenly " First to reach wins ...on the count of ..1...2....take your positions ....3!"

Me and Dante act like we were about to run but we don't ...The group leaves us running towards the store ..I sigh and lean on the car rubbing my arms " So ...what are you gonna get for me honey?" He quirks and eyebrow placing his coat around my arms .He takes my palms into his hands and blows hot air rubbing them ..." Anything the queen orders baby" " Icecream?"
" Bella .it's freezing outside..we are in a single degree temperature " " Please..." I make those puppy eyes ...He melts shaking his head .. " Fine but ...this is the last time for the whole winter " I grin nodding..." My vixen" he cups my cheeks pecking my forehead.
DANTE'S POV
As I enter the store, the bell above the door jingles softly, announcing his presence. I move down the aisles, his eyes scanning the shelves, but my mind is clearly elsewhere. After a few moments, I selects a few items including the icecreams and heads to the counter to pay. Last icecream of the winter ....I meant to say ..your last icecream with me ....I've been feeling this weird sensation in my chest ..As of there's a tiny ball of spikes next to my heart , piercing my bloodvessels everytime I take a breath . Val comes placing a bag of ...all the edibles in the store on the counter..I chuckle and pay for the icecream and give her the card ..
" Just don't buy the store si?" She smiles nodding... I pick them up and walk out of the store .She motions me tapping her watching saying I'm taking too much of time ." What took you this long?" My eyes twinkle with mischief as I holds up the two ice creams. "Lost track of time," I replies, my tone nonchalant. "Deciding between flavors takes concentration, mia cara." " For 12 minutes??" She murmurs taking the icecream from me ." Missed me already?? Never took you as the clingy type mia cara"
"I'm not clingy, mia cara. Im just... affectionate. Incessantly *affectionate*." My smirk , my eyes sparkling with playful amusement. "Clingy, affectionate, you name it," I tease, taking a bite of my ice cream. "But it's cute, in a needy, demanding sort of way." " Oh trust me ..You are the clingy in among us .Even if you disappear in the spot ,I will happily enjoy my life .. reading my books eating lots of icecream without the worry of getting caught and scolded by you " She shows me her tongue like a she devil she is. I my eyebrow at her words, a challenging glint in my eyes. I take another bite of my ice cream, sizing her up.
"Is that so?" I muse, my voice confident. "You think you're not at all attached to me, huh? That you'd be perfectly content without my presence?" " Ofcourse! Is that even a question?? I'm perfectly confident about that Mr Dante" She finishes her icecream and wipes her hands on my shirt . She flimches at the sudden sound of bullet in air . As the gunshots ring through the air, I react instantly, my body moving with a speed and precision that speaks of years of training. I pull her roughly against me, shielding her from the bullets with my body, my arms wrapping around her firmly.I pin her body to the car with my body shielding her .
