Charles took such a long time to show up at Anna's place to pick her up that Laura was beginning to wonder if he'd forgotten about her. But eventually they could hear the roar of the Ferrari engine, Josh looking out of the window at the car as though he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Laura, you have got to ask him to take me for a drive in that car some time. Please." Josh begged and Laura gathered up her things to head down to meet Charles.

"I'll ask." She laughed. "It's a pretty cool car."

"A pretty cool car?" Josh repeated the words to her in utter disbelief. "Pretty cool?"

"Ignore him." Anna laughed, patting her husband on the shoulder. "You go, we'll see you there later. Have fun... just not too much fun." She winked.

Laura felt herself blush at the thought. "See you later guys."

She scurried down the steps and out on to the street, sliding into the passenger seat of the car after wedging her bag into the footwell. Anna had rather presumptively insisted she pack an overnight bag, her argument being there was absolutely no way that Laura was going to be going anywhere other than back to Charles's place when the night was over.

"Hey." Charles grinned, leaning over to kiss her. "Sorry I'm late, I got held up with the team and the press."

"I was starting to think you'd forgotten about me." Laura joked, putting on her seatbelt as Charles headed out on to the road in the direction of his place.

"No chance." He shook his head, his hand falling on to her thigh. "You're quite literally all I've been thinking about ever since the race ended."

Laura rolled her eyes at him. "I think you're maybe being a little bit over dramatic there."

"Oh I'm not." He shook his head. "All I could think about doing all the interviews and the team photos was all the ways we can celebrate when I finally got away from them."

"Half of Monaco is expecting you to show up at the club for this after party." Laura pointed out. "Whatever you're planning, I really don't think you've got time."

"They'll wait for me." He shrugged, pulling the car into the underground parking at his place. "Trust me."

He parked the car and switched off the engine, but made absolutely no attempt to move. When Laura reached for the door he reached out and caught her hand, stopping her.

She looked at him in confusion, but then the lazy smirk on his face caught her up to what he was thinking. The hand that had caught her wrist dropped to her waist, fingers tightening around her as his other hand grasped the other side of her waist.

She couldn't hold in the squeal of surprise as he suddenly dragged her out of her seat, across the centre of the car and left her straddling his lap in one smooth move.

"Charles." She laughed, shaking her head at him. "You can't be serious."

The hardness she could feel that she was straddling suggested that he was in fact serious, and a shiver of anticipation ran up her spine.

"It's my day." He pointed out, biting on his lip as he slowly slid his hands under her shirt. "And I've been thinking about celebrating like this all day."

"I'm not sure this is the most...  practical." She shifted around, trapped between his body and the steering wheel behind her, trying to prove her point.

The way she was shifting around straddling his lap did absolutely nothing to change Charles's mind though, and a low growl escaped him, hands capturing her hips to still her movements for a moment.

"It seems a pretty fitting way to end the day to me." He smirked, lips trailing down her neck, nipping lightly at the skin.

"Charles..." his name escaped her in a breathy whisper, hips already rolling into his of their own accord. Her brain might not be entirely on board with his plan, but it seemed that her body definitely was.

"Mmm?" He mumbled, lips still trailing across her skin, he pulled the neckline of her shirt down to expose more skin on her chest.

"What if someone walks in?" She groaned, although she had a feeling that trying to reason with him at this point was an entirely useless exercise.

"They won't." He shook his head, hands dropping to her waistband to try and free her from her leggings. It was harder than he'd anticipated and something he possibly hadn't thought through.

"Charles." She giggled as he tugged at the offending item of clothing again, unable to find a way to pull them off in their current position. Her hands rested against his chest, pushing herself far enough back that she could look at him.

"Would you kill me if I ripped them?" He smirked.

"Yes." She rolled her eyes at him. "Let's go up stairs."

His face fell. "But..." she struggled to hold back her laughter a the way he was pouting about not getting his own way.

"You need a shower." Laura pointed out. "Maybe I can help you with that instead."

"Oh really?" He smirked, suddenly perking up at the thought. "We're coming back down here later though."

"You've really been thinking about doing it in the car?" She asked, her fingers running through his messy hair.

Charles nodded. "It feels like a pretty good way to celebrate, no?"

Laura nodded, biting down on her lip.

"But I'm not feeling patient enough for that right now, so come on." He opened the door, helping her climb out before he followed her, adjusting his now painfully tight jeans.

"I'd never have guessed you were feeling a bit impatient." Laura smirked. She shrieked as he grabbed hold of her, throwing her over his shoulder and taking off across the garage.

"You haven't even begun to see how impatient I am." He warned her. "I wasn't joking when I said I'd be thinking about this all day."

"Can't wait." Laura grinned.
