I laid in bed for what seemed like just a few minutes but when I looked at the clock it said 5:54.

"I need to get ready!" I said in a panic.

I rummaged through my messy closet and pulled a knee length pale pink dress and some black heels. Searching through my jewelry box, I found some black Kate spade earrings and a matching necklace.

I brushed mascara on to my eyelashes and put some concealer on a few red spots on my face. Curly hair, expensive jewelry, and a nice dress with heels. It's cute but fancy. I'm totally good.

I waited patiently by my phone. Soon after it buzzed and a text from Jay flashed across the screen saying that he was here.

I walked outside and he opened the passenger seat door for me and I slipped in.

"Well aren't you just a gentleman."
"I may be a gentle man but in bed I'm pretty rough."

"Ew did not need to know that." I said laughing.
"Yeah you did. How am I supposed to make children with someone who's to shocked to even do her thang?"
"Who said I was going to stay with you that long. You never know. I could kill you right now and leave with your wallet and car."

"Well I'd die happy knowing that I got to spend my last moments with you."

"Awe. You do have a soul!" I laughed with tears pricking the corners of my eyes.

He rolled his eyes and continued driving.

"So I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Carter has I thing for you..." He said creating some tension.

"I don't know. You really think so? He hasn't said anything weird or done anything weird." I said Denying every kiss and flirty conversation Ive shared with Carter.

"Even when he kissed you that one night out by your car?" The blood drained from my face.

"How did you know about that?" I whispered.

"I walked out to my car but realized I had forgotten my phone so I started to walk back but I saw him behind you  so I decided to stay and watch."

"Jay, I'm so sor-"
"Hey it's in the past. What matters now is us."

"I'm sorry for lying."
"It's okay. Just promise to not lie anymore okay?"
"I promise. I'm glad that we can move forward like this."

We pulled into a fancy neighbor hood. All of the houses were basically mansions and they all had fancy iron gates around them. We pulled into a long street and pulled up to a large gated house much like the others.

Jay pressed a button and the gate creaked open and we pulled all the way down the drive way.

"We are here,"My palms started sweating and I was shaking really bad,"no need to be nervous. My parents are nice. They've never hated anyone who's come to my house. But then again you are the first girl I've brought to meet them."

"No way. You're lying" how could he have never brought a girl to meet his parents. He was hot! But not as hot as- no! I mentally slapped myself and got my head back in the game.

He unbuckled his seatbelt and eagerly opened the car door. I did the same but not as extatically. If anything I wa going as slow as possible. Anything to give his parents and I space from each other.

"Come on don't be shy." He said beckoning me with his hand.

I nervously wobbled over next to him and linked my arm with his. Here we go.

He knocked but no one came. He pulled out a key and unlocked the door.  Ahh the smell of spaghetti and meatballs pleasures my nostrils and I was immediately calmed.

I looked up and saw a man with a news paper covering his face sitting in a comfortable lounge chair. Then in the kitchen I saw and older familiar looking woman stirring g something in a pot.

We sat on the brown leather love seat and Jay rubbed my knuckles with his thumb.

"Why haven't we talked to your parents yet?" I whispered. He seemed nervous but soon covered it up with a smile.

"Hey mom! We are here." He Yelled into the into the kitchen.

"Okay dinner will be ready in a few."
A familiar feminine voice said back. I feel like the last time I heard that voice, it was sad. It was crying. She was crying at the time.

I looked at the table and it all of the sudden had plates and pasta set out.

"Glad you could make it." A yet again recognizable voice spoke from behind the news paper.  The man turned his head and folded up the news paper.

I took a long look at him and my jaw dropped. I looked at Jay with tears in my eyes as I stood up.

" I-im sorry. I do-don't think I can do this." My voice cracked as tears poured down my face. I ran outside and say on the curb.

Flashbacks from that day bounced through my head. The sirens, the blood and the body parts everywhere. Try were the couple that lived. My parents died that day because of them.

I could feel my  feelings towards Jay turn into hatred and anger.

"Madelyn what's wrong?"
"You knew this hole damn time. Is this some kind of sick joke? God Jay!"
"No listen..."
"No you listen. I want you to drive me back home and do not say another word to me. You knew that your parents had ran into my parent's car. God! They died because of your parents."

"Madelyn I didn't think you would remember."
"How the hell would I not remember the couple that got my parents killed because they were too lazy to sober up before they started driving!?"

"Im sorry."
"No I'm sorry for ever trusting you."
