Calling all teen writers 13-19 years old! Are you guys ready for another contest?
This time the stakes have been raised, the competition is a little harder, and the prize even bigger!

*Who can apply?
Any teen writer on Wattpad with at least two chapters of their novel completed.

*How do you enter?
All you need to do is produce a five sentence pitch for your novel and post it in the comment section of this chapter. Can you use four sentences? Sure, but if you use six your pitch won't be considered and you'll be asked to resubmit before the deadline.

*What's a pitch?
In five sentences you've got to make us want to read your book. Don't get bogged down with details, give us the bare bones with enough meat on them to have us craving for more. If you don't know how to write a good pitch, this is wonderful practice for you. There are tons of articles on the web about how to write a good pitch, but here's one if you need a starting point:

* Round One:
I've gathered a group of ten extremely successful and talented Wattpad writers, who I know firsthand to be excellent at giving critiques, to act as judges. During these next two weeks these judges will read the pitches and pick the ones they like best by simply responding to your comment and letting you know if you've moved on to round two. It takes only one yes from any of these judges for you to move on to round two. Unfortunately, it takes only one judge to deny your entry as well. This doesn't mean things are over for you yet! You can rework your pitch and submit again within the contests' deadline, just make sure to either tag the judge who declined your pitch, or resubmit it in a new comment! We don't want to miss any submissions in the fold so this is an important step.

*Round Two:
After all the pitches have been read, and if you're lucky enough to be chosen to move on to round two, you can just sit back and relax at this point or, you can get your butts in gear and make sure your best work is available for the judges when they stop by your WIP (work in progress). That means spellcheck, grammar check, and proofread your work. Although we're not going to tear you apart for a missing comma here or there, we will have difficulty critiquing you if your WIP is in horrible shape.

The ten judges will be given an equal amount of contestants (we'll try to place you with the judge who accepted you, or you tagged...but it all depends on the numbers). At this point the judges will read your first chapter and leave their feedback. This is an amazing prize in itself. These judges know what they're talking about and you'd be foolish not to listen to their advice and learn from it to improve your manuscript.

*Round Three:
The judges will pick one story out of their group that they think shows the most potential and these authors will move onto the final round. Out of those ten stories, one winner will be chosen. The winner will be given a shout out from each of the judges to each of their followers-- combined that's over 40,000 Wattpad users! Also your story will land a permanent place on my Teen Writers to Watch reading list.

*Deadlines:
All pitches must be submitted by Sunday, August 9th to be considered.

*Meet Your Judges:

Michelle007
Hello lovely people ! My name is Michelle Hayes, and I am honored to partake in this contest. I joined Wattpad roughly two years ago, and its been a lively ride ever since. My debut novel that I published here was Invoke, categorized in the Mystery/Thriller genre. Invoke initially gained a following with a local a newspaper I wrote for a year prior to joining. It was like a stepping stone for me to get back on track with my writing again.
How Deep the Roots Go is my new paranormal series I'm working on, with book one completed, and now book two currently in the works.
I've met some truly wonderful people on this site, some that I call friend, and some that have given me inspiration, advice, and invaluable information on writing.  I'm also a proud member of The Corner Booth. #tcbwatt
