Zaman's POV
I'm obsessed with her, that's what Zee keeps repeating.Yes, Her Abeer Siddique. . Nowadays she is my whole and sole concern. As per Zee's sayings all I do is talk or think about her.
He says it's been a week after that night and she is constantly running on my mind. Which I don't deny coz she is my prey. How would I let her go after all she is going to be my stepping stone towards success.
That night how can I even forget it.After the dinner we walked towards the Handwashing area where I saw her talking animatedly with her crazy friend Mahnoor I guess. She didn't even bother to step aside after doing her job coz the tap was running and her hands were clearly clean.
She went on chatting with her hands in the basin under the cold water until Zee tried to intervene and remind the girls that they were others in the line.
Slightly embarrassed that she looked in the mirror right opposite to me she turned around without any idea that I was standing right behind her coz her head was down all this time. As soon as she turned she collided with me leading us to trip and fall down on the slippery marble floor. It was evident that she panicked and now felt utterly miserable upon our current situation.
But I didn't. In fact I was enjoying this coz it kept bringing me closer to my motive. She clumsily tried to stand up but kept falling back again and again. That's when I placed my hand on her back to keep her stable supporting her and to stop her from moving anymore.
She gave me a confused yet scared look and we kept gazing at each other for a while. That's when chachi cleared her throat. It broke our eye contact and she started struggling again so I got up along with her.
Abeer at once left the place with Mahnoor following her and I maintaining my aloofness did my business and walked out as well. We then decided to retire for the night coz it was quite late and I'm hundred percent sure that my wish or let's say motive to come her was fulfilled.
We bid our good bye and came back home. Since then Zee has become on my tail and keeps chanting that I'm obsessed with Abeer Siddique. Well you can't blame him completely coz in a weak moment of mine it slipped out of my mouth that she felt like a cushion.
And that's what led chachi to take a bold move and question my liking towards her. I kept silent not knowing what to say but she took my silence as a Yes and spoke to Fathima Siddique for Abeer's hand in marriage to me.
Though I don't like her romantically but marrying her will lead me to many opportunities to destroy Siddique's in future. Exactly what I desire for.
So my mission to attend the jashn was successful. I hope God favours me in all the ways and I can successfully take my revenge through her.Abeer's Pov
What do I call it? A surprise! Certainly not. It was a major shocker I guess, when one fine morning that is two days after the jashn when the elders were having the morning chat in the garden area and I was watering the plants with Bilal. Dadi received a call from Mrs. Shah.
She looked surprised at the beginning and then she had this big smile on her face when she decided to conclude the topic by inviting them home the same evening. We all looked at her with confused gazes.
She then called me closer and hugged me, kissed my forehead and blessed me to be happy forever. We were left way more confused that's when she decided to break the ice and let us all know that Mrs. Shah has asked my hand in marriage for her elder son Zaman Shah.
And my world stopped. Zaman Shah! Like seriously that guy who's one look gives me goosebumps. All sorts of What ifs and Why's kept running on my mind where as the rest kept celebrating.
I who was lost in my thoughts came out of it when dadi spoke to me saying she was happy with this and this was what she wanted since she met him at the jashn.
I looked at Abbu who gave it a thought and then agreed to dadi's words saying Zaman Shah is the most eligible bachelor and a well successful man. He is all that I would have ever wanted in my better half so yes I should agree to this alliance.
Bilal gave it a nod in approval so did Mamu and Ammi. I was left to give my word and I scumb to everybody's decision hoping it would bring me positive luck in the future coz my family has always thought about my best interests.
Ammi and Dadi started planning to welcome Shah's in the evening and The men decided to rush to their works so that they can free themselves for the evening. I was left alone with mixed feelings and my tea to think that I was going to become his better half, his wife, Zaman Shah ki biwi......
A man about whom I hardly know....
