-Your POV-
Jungkook and I had decided to take a road trip to San Francisco. The BTS group were on vacation in California and while everyone was doing their own thing, here I was Jungkook, not that I didn't mind. The cheesy thing is...Jungkook and I have been friends ever since kindergarden. I did not know how to write the number 5 then and he offered to help me out, the beginning of a long friendship. Over the years, I noticed that I started to feel something different for him, how would you say it? Oh yeah, I'm beginning to fall in love with my best friend.
''Hey (Y/N)," Jungkook said, nudging my shoulder as he drove.
''Eh?'' I asked.
''Look up ahead, there's a tunnel,'' he said, with a slight smirk.
''So?'' I asked, confused.
''Don't you know that if you make a wish and hold your breath until you reach the end of a tunnel, your wish will come true?'' Jungkook said.
''Uhm, no. And isn't that just a superstition-kinda thing?'' I asked.
''Maybe, but I hold my breath every time. Here we go! Hold your breath!'' Jungkook said as we entered the tunnel.
I said I didn't believe in what he told me..but my heart was telling me different. I wished for us to be more than friends...
-Jungkook's POV-
As we entered the tunnel, I made a wish and held my breath. For a second, I looked at (Y/N) and saw her puffing her cheeks out, as if she were holding her breath underwater.
When we reached the end of the tunnel, I asked, ''If you thought it was a superstition, then why did you make a wish?''
''I didn't make a wish pabo,'' she said, looking out the window.
''Oh pabo, I saw you, you fish,'' I said starting to laugh.
''Aish jinja. It's worth a try to prove to you that tunnel wishes are just superstitions,'' she told me, crossing her arms.
''And there is what people call 'The Golden Gate Bridge,''' I said, pointing.
''But it's not even golden!'' (Y/N) exclaimed.
-Your POV-
Jungkook parked near the bridge. Apparently, he wanted to walk the whole bridge and back..what he would call a feat. Jinja..does he not know how long that thing is?!
''Okay (Y/N), you might need a jacket since we'll be pretty high up on the bridge,'' he told me.
''Araso,'' I told him, going to the back of the car, grabbing my jacket, Jungkook doing the same.
''Ready?'' he asked.
''Ready,'' I replied, mentally adding 'not' to the end.
-Jungkook's POV-
Since the group had been touring a lot recently, this was one of our few vacation times. Our manager told us we'd be hanging out in California instead of Korea so here we are. As for the other members, God knows what they're doing at this point. Probably playing video games with shattered glass and milk splattered around them..I may be the youngest, but I seem to act like the oldest...
(Y/N) and I started walking on the bridge, talking, catching up with each other's lives. There were two lanes on the sidewalk of the bridge. One side was for walking while the other side was for biking. (Y/N) started drifting off onto the biker's lane when suddenly a biker was coming for her, neither noticed.
"(Y/N)!" I yelled, grabbing her waist, pulling her toward me. ''Gwenchana?'' I asked, worried.
''I'm fine, gomawo,'' she said.
''Sorry!'' the biker yelled as he turned around, then continued biking.
As for (Y/N) and I, we stood there looking into each other's eyes, my arms still around her. I slowly leaned in, she did as well. Our lips touched, moving in sync, as if we were made perfectly for each other. At that moment, I realized that (Y/N) was my perfect, other half.
In the tunnel, I wished for (Y/N) to see me as a man, not as her best friend. Little did I know that my wish would be granted. And I wasn't going to let her go. Not now, not ever. Superstition huh?
