"YES!" I yell with my best friends as we run outside of the school gate. Thanksgiving break had begun; and though we only had 5 days off, we took the opportunity. What opportunity? Well, we had landed ourselves a spot at the local cafe to perform a song. We will be doing our own short cover of "Butterfly," by Bangtan Sonyeondan. Well, the others will. I'll be rapping my version of "Never Mind," also by Bangtan Sonyeondan...
By "we," I mean Katelyn, Eujin, Jinhye, Moonie, Sophia, and Shayla. (and me ofc) We will perform today afterschool, around 6:30 pm.
"Alright! So we're on break now...can't believe this year's already almost over.." Katelyn said on the walk home. Yes, that's how we met, and it seems like fate, we all met because we live in the same neighborhood, became best friends, and turned out to go to the same school!
"I agree..Seems like just yesterday, we were at Disneyland celebrating the first day of the year!" Moonie exclaimed.
"Guys stop, you're making me weep," I exclaimed, hitting them playfully on their arms.
As they laughed, Sophia spoke. "Aye y'all, stop it! You're making our dongsaeng cry!" Sophia said while laughing and squishing my cheeks. I faked whined.
"Araso, araso," Moonie said, nodding her head.
After 14 minutes of laughter, poking, and almost, literally, dying of laughter, we were finally near home.
"So...where do we practice? Yanno, for later?" I asked.
"Well duh, your place," Shayla said.
"Bro," I said nonchalantly to my eonni.
"Yes bro slash dongsaeng?" she said, winking.
"Oh my, whatever then! We'll just practice in my garage," I said.
"Agreed!" everyone, but me exclaimed.
"Amugeodo saenggak hajima. Neon amumaldo keonaejidoma. Ayo-o, geunyang naege useo jwo..." Eujin sang.
"Nan ajikdo midgijiga anha. I modeunge dakomin geo gata. Ayo-o, sara jilyeo hajima..yeah.." Katelyn sang.
"You...you...you...Neomu aleum dawo dulyeowo. Aren't you...aren't you?" Shayla sang.
"Gati meomulleo jullae? Naege yaksok hae jullae?" sang Moonie.
Jinhye, Sophia, and Shayla joined together from there and sang together.
As they performed, I watched. Once they finished, "How are we (Y/N)?" they all asked in unison.
"Oh my gosh, you guys will slay for sure!" I said, giving them a huge smile and a thumbs up.
"You're sure right?" Sophia asked.
"Why wouldn't I be? I'm pretty damn positive."
