*written in your POV*
It was winter, an unexpected cold day...how lovely. I decided to spend my day at the movie theatre, not knowing where in the world I'd go next. The movie ended with all of the popcorn in my stomach and empty boxes of chocolate. I went outside and immediately shivered at the cold...and the rain?
"Why does it have to rain today? The weather man didn't mention so..." I thought out loud.
"You took the words right out of my mouth," I hear a boy say behind me.
I turned around to see a boy around my age, smiling; showing his dimples.
"Oh, I said so out loud, didn't I?" I asked, looking down.
"Kinda.." he said, laughing.
"I'm Namjoon," he says, extending his hand out to me.
"I'm (Y/N)," I say.
"Well (Y/N)," he says. "Is there any place you want to go after the theatre?"
"Well...actually...honestly, no," I say, starting to laugh; as he joins my laughter.
"Hmmm, how about the cafe around the corner? I was planning on going after this, but I think it'd be better if you joined me?" he asked, smiling. (dimPLES THO)
"I would love to Namjoon..." I said, drifting off.
"But?" he asked.
"How are we going to get there? I mean, it's raining pretty hard..."
"Easy!" he replied. He removed his jacket and held it above us like a canopy. He pulled me closer to him. "Now?"
"Well aren't you just-"
"Just what?" he interrupted.
"notHING," I said, automatically shutting up.
"Well, let's go then!" he said.
While Namjoon guided me to the cafe, we walked closely together; smiling and laughing as we took turns telling each other stupid stories and jokes. We got some stares from other people; I even heard some of them whisper, saying things like "we look good together," or that "we're a cute couple." I couldn't help but agree with them.
The moment we stepped into the cafe, the warm air greeted my face.
"It's perfect, isn't it?" he asked.
I showed a confused face.
"I meant the warmth, compared to outside," he said, lightly laughing.
"Oh, yeah, it definitely is," I say, smiling.
"Is there any drink you'd like?" he asks.
"I'm fine," I say.
"Are you sure?"
"100,000% sure."
"Okay, I'm going to order myself a drink. Do you think you could save us a booth?" he asks.
"Sure," I say, turning around to find a booth. The entire cafe was empty, except for three other people sitting next to the entrance; and of course, there were the baristas. I decided to get a seat towards the back, next to a window. As I wait for Namjoon, I stare through the window. The dark skies that seemed to clear up. The wind blowing, the trees that seem to drift like a butterfly caught in a tornado. The rain, starting to become light drizzles. The puddles on the floor; mirrors that reflect who we are when we look into them.
