Confused, I walked towards the door, twist the doorknob open and saw a girl I can say about my age smiling at me, her waist length dark hair is untied and beside her is a suitcase.

"Hi." I greeted smiling.

"Hi." She greeted back.

Jay must've been confused with all the Hi thing and decided to stood up walking towards the door. Shocked on what he saw, he quickly fixed his self making me laughed a bit. Hearing my giggles he hit me in the shoulder lightly causing me to stop and faced the new girl in sight.

"You must be the unexpected visitor mom was talking about. Come on in." I welcomed as I widen the door making her way in.

She sat on the single couch while Jay and I sat on the couch where we are earlier, now facing eachother.

I was looking at her features and noticed something, "Is it okay if I ask you this?" Asking her permission for my question. She nodded so I continued, "Is there a bit asian in your blood?" I asked giving her a smile hoping I didn't offend her or something.

"Alex what are you doing?" Jay asked whispering from behind my head, hoping this girl infront of us won't notice.

"What?" I whispered back.

I faced the girl, not knowing her name yet. She's smiling, "Actually I'm half British and half Filipina. My dad's the brit one and my mom's the filipina but I grew up in the Philippines with them." She explained smiling, hearing her talk that much for the first time that night with that amazing British accent that Jay and I always dreamed of having.

Jay and I looked at eachother, even more surprised that both of our jaw dropped on the way she talked. We shook our heads. Dang, we could just tell this girl to talk non-stop tonight because you will never get tired of listening to her voice, her british accent is not the deep one, but that- I just don't know what it's called but that accent you know you'll never get tired of hearing. She got the more Asian looks where I believe she got from her mom in the Philippines only her nose is more pointed than a usual Asian girl.

"Oh, that's explain your looks." I told her.

She shot me a confused- a bit afraid look, "What kind of looks?"

I expand my words, "No I didn't mean bad looks- if that's what you're thinking. You're pretty, right Jay?" I asked Jay who seems to haven't taken his eyes from this girl.

"Oh- yeah yeah." He cough clearing his throat, "She's okay. Yeah." He shrugged.

"May I know your names?" She asked.

"Oh, I'm Alex. My mom- Elisabeth, I think you know her already because she's expecting you." She noded paying her attention. I turned to Jay, "And this beside me is my bestfriend-" cutting me off Jay stood up reaching his hand for a shakehands and she gladly took it. "He just lives next door that's why he can come over here anytime he wants." She noded. "What's your name?" I finally asked knowing I've been curious about her name.

She sat up staight, "I'm Amanda Perez but people often call me Mandy so I prefer that you two should call me that as well. The reason why I'm here is- I think Mrs. Evens would be explaining that to you as she get here." She looked around and back at us confusion in her face, "Where's Mrs. Evans?"

"Her and Isaac are currently staying in the hotel overnight."

"But why? Who's Isaac?"

"Isaac is my younger brother and because he has a soccer game tomorrow."

She noded understanding what I just said.

I stood up, "My mom told us to make you feel like at home." I glance on my wrist watch, "It's already eleven, aren't you tired? Because you must've traveled for hours."
